This is our grid tied solar 4.6kW max. on Power One Aurora 300w micros.I did it myself as well as pulled all permits needed.If you have questiones,feel free to ask me.
@MB031 Are you still running the Power One Aurora micro's? I have 1kilowatts (4 panels) and looking at micro's. Enphase is the craze but pricy.

Depends where you live,but in florida you can pull permits yourself as owner-builder.The property must be yours! You will safe tons of $$ doing it yourself,but definatelly PV and electrical knowledge is a must..It's not Home Depot kids project..LOL

Great video, what are the panels mounted to? Is it some sort of square tubing cemented into the ground?

Hi! What brand micro inverters do you have in your system? If i have 285w panels should i buy one 300w for every panel, or should i buy 600w for every 2 panels, (parallel)? You've done very nice job! ☺

Thanks. I have 300W micros on every 290W panel..Aurora originally in 2013,then Aurora sold it to ABB,then ABB already discontinued these micros 5 or more years ago.I had 3 micros failures past 5 years and ABB replaced it for free, they originally warantee it for 10 years, they have stock of some micros just for replacements, but no longer on the market.Very sad, because they are excellent micros putting out real 100% output 300W..No other micros do that, maybe that's why they cancelled them,extreme competition, who knows what's the story behind..

How much was that system, do you get much money back from the power company?
@MB031

I did it for reducing power bill,not to run full house with it.It's a small array...System around $12K material only !! I did all labor myself..It's net metering,so what I produce I'll get paid,about 10 cents per kWh..It's not a money maker !!. You would have to own solar field acres huge to make money,which nobody will allow you..LOL please search before you pull project like this.

Can you tell us more about the Microinverters? Make/Model#, cost, etc? Also, nice camera work, very smooth, almost like you have a steadycam rig.

It's not camera,it's youtube.They stabilize it somehow,yeah looks good..These micros are Aurora -0.3-I-OUTD -US 208/240 and you can find them online,just google it and you get all the distributors and pricing.They are made in Italy,great quality and most output out of all micros.My panels are rated 295W each and I'v seen they putting out max 302W,thanks to those micros ..I'm very happy with it.
