For many users of LiDAR data, terrain generation is the most important workflow. In the seventh webcast in the LiDAR Processing series, we demonstrate the procedure for transforming array of vector points into a raster surface model. We look at the various options that are available including simple triangulation as well as binning for creating a more precise Digital Terrain or Digital Surface Model. We also introduce the new hydro-flattening capability and demonstrate some of Global Mapper’s terrain visualization and shader options.
