A Himalayan Griffon Vulture flies overhead at Jabbarkhet, searching from the skies for carrion on the ground, whence it will descend and start to feed. A leopard kill would be ideal and would truly make this vulture's day! Flying on thermals and not flapping its wings, vultures are adept at riding the wind currents and thermals, with their outspread and upturned finger tip wing feathers, just like the up-ended wing tips on an aeroplane, for aerodynamic purposes.
