This time we were in the far West of the Lake District in a area which seems to get very few visitors. We were still on holiday with the family near Keswick and this was our sixth day in a row taking on some Wainwrights.
This time it was the turn of Grike, Crag Fell and Lank Rigg. We started in warm sunshine but the weather deteriorated as the day went on and by the end of the day we were walking back through the rain.
The highlight of the day was without a doubt Crag Fell. This hill has some stunning views down over Ennerdale and back into the Lake District. These were very quiet fells and we only a few other people on the entire 9 mile walk, so it was a nice day for some solitude and great views.
