We've been running a @PitBossGrills Pit Boss Pellet grill for about eight years now and we found an issue with smoke billowing out of our pellet hopper during long cooks.
We also found that we were having trouble reaching target temps and maintaining temps during our grill sessions.
We found that our Pit Boss Pellet pot had rusted out and was allowing burning pellets to fall into the auger channel and push smoke back into the hopper. We weren't having the issues posted by many PB owners about back burn into the auger and had to figure out what was causing the smoke.
To begin our grill repair, we replaced the Pit Boss Pellet pot and now we're back in business with no smoke in the hopper and temps staying solid throughout our grill sessions. Check out how easy it is to make this fix on a Pit Boss Pro Series pellet grill.
