We used corn cobs in heater for stock tank. Burned slow and was hot. Also had a good unique smell. Was still smoke but smelled good.

Personally, I do not agree with using corn kernels as a source of fuel. One farm I lived on used corn in a corn furnace. Then there is corn used for ethanol to fuel cars. Corn should only be used as a food source. Grinding up the cobs is a far better use for heating than wasting food in the furnace.

I can see why you would use corn cobbs for heat but why grind them? Do you compress them into fire-starting logs or burn them as they are? Anyway sounds like a good way to not split wood all winter.

A corn cob burner, thats awesome! Any way you could make a video of it? I pick cob corn and burn wood. If I could figure out how to utilize the cob in my stove, I would be able to cut back on how many tree's I cut each year for wood! Thanks!!
