My Granddad had this same model feedmill. Once a week, we had to grind a full tank of feed for his hogs. Then, my Dad started with hogs and that meant 2 tanks of feed per week for both feedlots. We took the feed auger off because we were unloading from grain bins directly into the hammermill opening. Brings back so many memories

This was my job, beginning at 7 year old.. we had hundreds of hogs, we ground feed every two days.. rain snow or shine. I hated it back in the day-

My brother raises hogs for a company and they have feed he buys from them and a chart for how much in each batch.

The tag on the pre-mix bag will give rations of how much corn and soybean meal to add going by the weight of the animal. Bigger pig = less soybean meal and more corn.
