I like the way you keep you diet straight forward and simple. Just the same old food that packs a serious punch when it comes to nutritional content your body needs to survive your training. I think I would prefer named brands for certain foods and condiments stuff. As far as egg whites, I would buy the whole egg and crack so many whites to one egg yolk, I.e. 5 egg whites to one white egg with yolk. Scramble it all up and fry it up. I like it anytime and freshly cracked. Shopping the sales for those foods you like is also a good idea when it comes saving money. 😃👍🏼 💰

First, love all these videos. Second, one word: Costco. I don't know how on earth so many of these bodybuilders are willing to do these mini runs when they could save by buying in bulk. Completely understand that sometimes these mini runs are necessary, but I hope at least that Jason and others are taking advantage of Costco. The egg whites alone make your membership worthwhile. Again, many factors involved here, filming included. Just my two cents.

I don’t understand why bodybuilders avoid egg yolks during prep. The yolk is loaded with nutrients and its even proven whole eggs actually help with fat loss
@muscleandstrength
Жыл бұрын
So first off - I hear ya , and I think most would agree the yolk is amazing. The level of conditioning required to compete requires these athletes to stay in a caloric deficit for many months . While fats are amazing and have great benefits they are calorically dense - therefore many coaches choose to do lower fat (9 calories per g) higher protein (4 calories per g) and moderate carbs (4 calories per g) to hit their caloric goals . I’m sure you’ll find some athletes that do moderate - higher fats but it’s just not going to give you the same amount of food volume

Sadly, it isn't an option for everyone. My parents live out in the boonies and they have a well, but they only use the water for bathing and cleaning purposes. Wells have to go so deep now days due to how many people there are in most areas, that most well water is now mineral heavy, and then those filters you speak of no longer are cheaper than buying prepackaged. Same logic with garbage water like in LA county. Yes, you can buy filters that do the job, but the worse the water, the more often you need to get a new filter.. and you say they aren't expensive, but a reasonably decent one is till $150-300 in most cases... at that point, buying two packages of water bottles every month is actually cheaper (assuming annual filter replacement in most areas, more often in hard water areas). With that said, if a basic filter works for the area, I do agree, but water supplies are getting worse by the year in the US.

There hasn't been conclusive data to show that sugar free is bad....yet. I don't really go with a lot of sugar free but for now it's still safe to consume. The containers of egg whites are just quicker and easier to pour. I agree get whole eggs but that takes a lot longer separating the white from the yolk. Frozen foods may not hold more of their nutrition but they are still just as good as fresh and they keep longer. They are typically flash frozen when gathered which allows them to KEEP their nutrition at least. They are a great time saver, they just tend to cost more.
