Watch in 1080p
Believe it or not, this is the first true Groot truck that I’ve ever filmed. All the other ones are ex-Republic or Allied, as a result of the asset swap in September of 2017. This truck was transferred from West Chicago to Elgin, along with the truck’s driver. West Chicago has a reputation for not maintaining their trucks, which can be shown by the rust on the body. If you look closely, you can also see that the Curotto’s grippers are fixed by a pool noodle and duct tape. All I can say is I’ve never seen that before!
Although this truck isn’t in the best shape, I will say it does sound really neat and all the exhaust sure was cool to see, especially in this day and age. The driver was super nice and friendly, he told me a bit more about the truck, and how he actually prefers the older trucks over the new ones, and I don’t blame him. I also included a clip of an LEU McNeilus Curotto that I recorded the same day, just because it’s basically a newer version of this truck.
I really hope you guys enjoy this, I sure was happy to find this truck!!
