That snare sounds KILLER!! Could you do a tuning video or something of the sort?

Thanks man! It’s the Benny Greb Signature Snare (1st one), I simply tune it pretty high, really nothing special with the tuning, this snare always surprises me sounding good even after months in its case haha

It's not planned unfortunately (takes a lot of time and preparation), but can you tell me which part are you interested in? Like some pattern I could break down here for you, cause it's really nothing crazy, mostly 16th notes linear patterns inside some grooves!

@ExP Sure! 1st bar : It begins with 2 phrases in 3 : the main idea is that open hihat, which ends each of the phrases. I start the first one with l k L (then open hihat on R+K, then closing the hihat with left foot, and an extra kick). So we have our 6 hits, that makes the 3/8 loop. Next phrase is basically the same idea. Expect we start with lR l r (then open hihat, closing it with the left foot, and an extra kick here again). We've done our 6 next hits. So we're missing 4 hits to complete our 16 first eight notes. That's why I'm simply playing another lR l r l (same as the second phrase but with a extra left hand to end the cycle). It's easy to sing it : "tatata PST- tatataPST- tatatata". 3.3.2. 2nd bar : Start with another 3 against 4 idea. This one is RLR L - RLR L (between tom1 and snare). I play this twice. Then I play R l R l l k lR L R L to end! (first two R on toms, rest on the snare, expect the flam). Hope it helps haha!

Naro I’m not a drummer but it’s so nice to see you break something down in such detail because someone has randomly asked you! 😁
