It is a demonstration of Dr. Irvin Yalom's wonderful book, The Schopenhauer Cure. The book is about a cast of characters involved in group therapy, and in this video, these actors assumed the roles of the characters and acted them out (improv style) in front of a large audience, in the form of group therapy.

I would really appreciate it if my instructor could provide a more detailed video as part of the class. I've watched the current video three times, but I still feel like I haven't gained all the knowledge I need for the group therapy course.

By doing so they can easly communicate that person, because they share more similar understanding of a situation, it is like a Priest talking about parenthood and rasiing child vs mother talking about it

Actually, from an outsiders perspective, I can understand why this may seem unethical, but the leader of the group is using his leadership style to ask for feedback about Gill's situation. It is to offer him a new perspective and give him insight about how his wife may be feeling. While the women in the group may not be married to him, they can still put themselves in his wife's position and attempt to help him understand why she may not want a child.

It is a demonstration to show how group therapy CAN work and it may not always be like this, but comments from other group members can be incredibly helpful to the person with the particular issue or problem.

Notice how she not only gives her feedback about his wife's cold behavior, but she also asks why she might be acting that way. It is important because it allows him to form his own perspective about the situation while seeing it from his wife's point of view.

@@arianarose4180 well, that is all bla bla bla and not the reality or wise and won’t work in the long term.. you know traditionally it is common knowledge that having kids leads to happiness and not having kids leads to a form of misery.. any wise old lady would tell the wife to have kids wether she wants to or not; if she doesn’t, it makes her a person with deficiencies and problems to be honest. But a therapist and the women in the group will make arguments that sound true and good, but fall in their face when tested in real life.

@jessicamaple5299 nah.. you’re just brainwashed because you’re in love with these people who are selling you a gun deal and making fall in love and worship them.. now in this video notice how the guy speaks in unnatural hypnotic voice.. why can’t he speak normally like he does in daily life say in a conversation with a colleague?
@pl2604

@jessicamaple5299 it’s a scam modality created and taught by psychopaths to the next generation of same brainwashed people who are in a vulnerable and impressionable and easily sellable state. It’s obvious if you read between the lines. I have a Bachelors in a health science profession, ten years bedside care experience and did five years of this group therapy with a forty year experience PhD group therapist and then observed the people in his association and read their guidebooks - it’s a scam!
