Finally a simple illustration on growing purslane. Most KZitem videos make this seem like rocket science. Tks!

I live in Türkiye/Aydın/Nazilli and you can collect those from ground all year. It is highly nutritious and contains really important fats. Good job raising them from the seeds. You may want to plant some of those to ground becouse they are almost invasive and will easily spread and become food for homeless people. Nice video. :D

It is so hard to find it here as where I live (US), it is so dry and it cannot grow easily in the wild due to the super dry weather. Thanks the encouragement!

Thanks for this useful video. This simple and useful plant, which blooms naturally all over Turkey, is currently sold at unbelievable prices in markets (inflation in Turkey is at terrifying levels!) so I decided to grow it at home. I have a small garden with poor soil that gets about fifteen minutes of sun a day. I will try it there to some extent, but I am also thinking of putting a pot under the light in the kitchen. I hope I can make it 🪴

I left it indoor for the first two days and I keep it in the Sun. I bring it inside at night... Just to avoid bugs eating it

I have not tried to eat it before 😁, I imagine that it won't be as tasty as the one that is meant for eating.

do you ever grow them to flowering?

This type of Purslane is for eating so they don't flowered like the one you think it does. I grow them all the way to winter season, it produces seeds but no noticeable flower.

Doesn't it freeze in the winter?

Yes and it only grows back by the seeds fallen in autumn

@@PreludeSon I put 2 inches of potting mix in a plastic muffin like clear container with a top. Spread seeds on top after I saturated with water. I guess the heat and moisture make them germinate so quick but now I have to take a toothpick and one by one I transfer them so the root is deeper. These plats are very nutritious. Great survival food.
