8:02 The tiger shrimp isn't tired, its limbs are literally too soft to dig in the sand right after a molt, something that happens to all crustaceans. It makes sense because the old shell is hard, so the bigger shell underneath has to be soft and sort of folded up to fit. In the wild they would find a secluded place to hide and do this. I'd put some sort of structure in the tank so it can hide and feel safe until the new shell is hard.

I think your shrimp molted because he grew bigger with all those wonderful clams you’ve been giving him.
The tiger prawn usually harvested by tge age of 120-150 days. So let's assume it is 130 days old when you put it in the aquarium. It has 3 years lifespan. I am curious for how long you can keep it alive. So I'll SUBSCRIBE.

What happened to the prawn? Any update? And you were right, the shedding process can be energy draining. And initially, the new exoskeleton will be a little soft, which is why the prawn did not manage to burrow itself in the sand.

Wow a full shed of exoskeleton, that's one healthy shrimp. The stripes on that thing, Wow so Beautiful.
What a strange little alien creature. I love the way he kind of parties and does some terraforming at night. I had no idea Tiger Shrimp were so industrious.

Sadly, it wasn't "partying", it was trying to find a way out by continuously crawling forward toward the glass, but nothing seems to work so it also tries jumping. The Tiger Shrimp probably does this every single night, trying to get free...

@@GD-8 I suspect no living creature parties when you're around, huh? Are you like, some sort of expert on shrimp behavior? Sheesh, man. It's a shrimp. They literally come like 5 on a plate, probably with a choice of pasta or rice and a vegetable or side salad. This thing is lucky it's not on a skewer. I don't think tiger shrimp are free swimmers. I think they burrow and like to move stuff around in their habitat. They're not that complicated. I'm pretty sure he's better off like this than most of the alternatives a shrimp is gonna have, since they're so tasty. 😃

@@JohnSmith-mk1rj Bro, you really had to write a long, sarcastic response just cuz I made a simple observation?🤣Seems like you're easily offended LOL. I wonder who really ruins parties.🤭
This is so cute and wholesome. May you and tiger prawns or whatever you choose to grow be healthy and happy always ;) you're a great fish owner.

I n knew prawns malt their shell/skin but have never seen it it’s form like that before. That’s crazy. I also learnt that tiger prawns randomly jumped 😅 which was very cool. Thanks for the video m8! 👌🏼
