Just wanted to leave a comment saying thank you so much for the content you put out. I received an Oxford offer last week and have to say that your videos really helped to demystify the admissions process given that (even though it’s trying it’s best) my school couldn’t do much in that department.

Thank you! It's really kind of you to leave this comment. Congratulations on securing your place! When you are a student here, don't forget to go back to your school to help them out!

I need to thank you, because even if I didn't think about applying for Oxford, your videos would already make me a better human being

Echoing the below comment Dr.Williams. Very grateful daughter has a conditional A100 offer . Thank you very much for all your effort. Also, it is reassuring to know that she is likely to adapt and thrive when she meets the conditions and starts the course.

My daughter appears for MAT this year to get into Oxford in the bsc.mathematics and philosophy joint honours degree in 2025. Of all the colleges which offer this combination in Oxford, I wished that she went to Jesus college !and listening to you talk, I felt encouraged !

Great Video, I love the part where you explain how potential is not limited to "genetics" and much more to do with factors we have control over like how you apply yourself. I like to think of it like a seed, even if a seed has the capacity to be the tallest tree in the world it will never reach its wonderful heights without the right environment/conditions .

Could there be a video made about international students, such as Americans and Canadians

The admissions process for Americans/Canadians is identical to that for Brits. The only differences will be with the qualifications you present, and funding. On qualifications, please see here: www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/applying-to-oxford/for-international-students/international-qualifications On funding, please see here: www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/fees-and-funding/course-fees

Hi, I'm in my penultimate year of high school and plan to apply for PPE at Oxford as an international applicant. The thing is, my interests are pretty much all over the place (feminism, human rights, anti-capitalism) and I'm not quite sure how to present that in a personal statement. I completed some MOOCs a couple of years ago - would it be acceptable to mention that in the PS? Another problem I have is the glaring lack of originality in thought. My peers and family affirm that I tend to parrot randomly interesting ideas. Any tips you'd suggest to unlearn this habit? Somehow, anything "new" I come up with always sounds either raw and unpolished or a variation of what I already know, and I end up cringing and resorting to established sources for my opinions.

Hi there, thanks for your comment. On personal statements, please see here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/mmtrwGuka36QdmUsi=8O-eK0n6WaNkcZv8 It's fine to refer to MOOCs from a few years back, if they provide evidence that you are ready to study PPE at uni. Being original takes loads of practice. It is fine to start out by repeating the insights of others. As Newton remarked, we all stand on the shoulders of giants. The more you practice original thinking, the more it will come naturally. Please see here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/upCFsImlhYaUd4Isi=2lcfhAwssr1Ub3tm
