This one year old raspberry plant has been a pleasure to have in the backyard. Apart from watering, providing sunshine, and seltering from wind, there isn't much to do once the plant is established in nuitrient rich potting soil. We have had no issues with pests or diseases.
This is a perennial plant and we are looking forward to harvesting fruits for many summers. There are also autumn varieties that will bear fruit in that season and are apparently easier to grow for beginners. Had I known, I might have chosen an autumn bearing variety! So far, however, this summer variety has done well.
