Saw this video and decided to do a similar thing with C. annuum "Super Chilli" in a 500ml beer can as an autumn/winter project. The two seeds have germinated wonderfully, and they're supposed to be a pretty compact and prolific plant so I've got high hopes!

It has been really fun to watch it grow - one recommendation would be to grow a smaller pepper variety (aji charpita, or similar sized fruits) to get better yields.

When you transplant this plant, will it start to grow more? Or has it "accepted" a limited growing space for it roots and never grow much more?
@PepperGeek

It will grow more, definitely. We'll be putting it into the ground in about a month!

Super tasty! I'm pretty sure that the pod in this video was an accidental cross-pollination as well, the seeds inside sprouted with lots of purple coloration 🤫

What is the light schedule you use or do you leave the light on 24/7? Also what percentage is your lamp set at ?
@PepperGeek
3 жыл бұрын
Ususally start around 15 hours on, seedlings can burn easy so about 20-24" above foliage at 50% is a good place to start. But it will depend on your light's power output

Hi, how often should i add nutrition or I don’t have to add anything until harvest? Thank you
@PepperGeek
3 жыл бұрын
For this plant, I fertilized regularly with liquid nutrients. The 'soil' also had some slow release nutrients added from the start. For larger plants, it depends on the potting soil you use - if it has nutrients already, you may not need much fertilizer. We add supplemental fertilizer after the plants are in their final pots for about a month (using Fox Farm Happy Frog).

Great video. I frequently give away seeds for those that donate to disabled Army veterans aka DAV. Pepper lovers is one of those groups Make it Wayne is in.... a fellow who has openly stated that he finds making up lies about a disabled Army veteran raping women brings him happiness. With that being said, that same group has booted people for simply pointing out discrepancies in phenotypes between vendors.... should never be a problem pointing those basics of genetics out. Sadly, Khang Starr is aware of Make it Waynes lies and does not seem to care enough to take any action. Mind you, Khangs group has no problem booting someone for talking about phenotype differences between C3Po peppers and different vendors.
