There's a guarded hesitation among the audience because, even though it's comedy, people have been trained to believe that laughing hurts someone else's feelings AND they're afraid they might be recognized and attacked on social media for laughing.

@@michaw.2168 sorry I didn't see this comment until just now. Here's the short version: Back in October 2020 he was looking for a talent manager and got a call back from AGI (which is a huge deal! When someone has to get a talent manager then they've "made it" as a comedian). Well at the very end of the process he was sat with pen in hand to sign the finalized and agreed upon contract when Alex Brizel said (and I fucking quote) "We love you. Everyone here loves you and thinks you're a star, but we're not taking you because you're white." He is now suing them because of their discrimination. So far as I know he's the first white person to sue a company on the basis of discrimination, but I can say that it's the first time a case like this has been before the Supreme Court... and Im confident it's gonna be an open and shut case as they blatantly violated SEC. 2000e-2 [section 703], Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Not a lawyer btw, hell I'm not even Amarican 🤣, I just love Google
