Thanks for sharing lady!!!! I totally feel you on the insecurities with skin conditions. I have had psoriasis since teenage years and developed eczema in my early 30s. My hands got so bad a few years back that I felt embarrassed to teach my kiddos. I was constantly in scabs and blood, cracked skin etc. This past year was so tough so some of the symptoms came back and I hope to muster up the necessary self care to not allow it to escalate. Our skin reflects a lot of deeper issues at times. Physical and emotional and I know that’s true for me. Environmental things make it worse but I imagine the core is more internal. And food is part of it. Good for you for doing the elimination diet, never stuck to one, they are brutal! You’re amazing and so strong 😍 I am sorry you have an autoimmune condition but I imagine it also feels good to at least know what it is. It’s so good to see your gorgeous self, hear you talk and watch you put in makeup. Missed you 💕

Your recommendation of not looking up reviews of medical providers is extremely sound advice! I recently had to find a new women's health dr and i read the reviews of the office. I had serious anxiety going into my appointment and almost made myself sick because of it. I ended up having the best experiences I've ever had in a medical setting! I can empathize with you about feeling self conscious about your hands. I have ezcema on my hands and it always gets bad in the winter. Im always nervous people are looking at it. Took me a while to be okay with it.

Hey welcome back Rupy! I never stopped being your friend because of your hands nor really got affected by them. I'm proud of you for opening up because I know how hard it was for you during the years. Hopefully diet can help! Missed seeing your face and I love chatty GRWM and bring out some old makeup that were your holy grail or old makeup you haven't touched in awhile. That will be fun and also determine if you need to declutter anything. Also, what brush did you use for your highlighter? BTW how do you feel about the highlighter? It's pretty right? 😋😘

AND thank God because it’s way less restrictive than the other diets the Drs put me on. I finally just did my own research and found Dr Berry and it’s been a HUGE difference! Sending you love 💗

Rupy!! So glad you’re back!! And I’m glad you have some sort of diagnosis so that you can start figuring out what your next steps might be. I went through something similar with my hands but my diagnosis was dyshidrotic eczema and it affected my nails too. At the height of it, I couldn’t even sleep because of the level of pain and itchiness 😢 My hands were completely cracked, blistered, weeping and flaking all at the same time. Typing for work was even painful and I was embarrassed to shake anyone’s hand. I did whole 30 (another type of elimination diet) and tried all kinds of other things. My hands are now somewhat in remission but I always have a little bit of eczema on it to this day. Chronic illnesses are so tough, but I know you’ll find a way to manage and live with it!! ❤ wishing you the best

First of all, you are absolutely gorgeous! Second, I recently discovered your channel from your decluttering videos and I've been enjoying your content so much! ❤ Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for sharing about your Autoimmune disorder. Although its not the same, I can relate to you sooo much. In May of 2021 I had to get both my kidneys removed due to a hereditary kidney disease called Polycystic Kidney Disease, it caused both my kidneys to fail and they were covered in cysts, which was very painful. In February of 2021 my left kidney started bleeding uncontrollably and it caused me to loose more than half my blood volume in my body. And then my right kidney followed suit. So my kidney specialist and a surgeon decided it was best to just remove them both. I've always been quite thin, like a bean pole unfortunatel, but after my surgery (the hardest surgery I've ever gone through, the pain was so intense) my stomach started getting bigger and bigger.. so much so that it looked like I was carrying triplets and was like 14 months pregnant or something lol. But it was happening slowly so I didnt really notice how big it was getting until everytime i left my house i would always get questions like "when are you due?" and "what are you having?" or just congratulations on being pregnant. And like you said its never okay to ask questions like that. It gave me such bad anxiety that i turned into a boarderline Agoraphobic, only leaving my house for dr appointments and dialysis (luckily I work from home). I became so depressed, self conscious and the anxiety was out of this world. I hated people asking because 1) I wasnt pregnant and 2) i can no longer have anymore children, i was lucky that my son and i both survived when i was pregnant with him due to my kidney disease causing major complications, he was born 10 weeks early. So being asked if i was pregnant etc all the time just broke my heart because i cant have anymore children. So i totally understand the anxiety, depression and self consciousness from a medical problem. Luckily, i found out my stomach was filling up with fluids, its called Ascites, since i no longer make urine my liver was having to make up for not having kidneys and if i drink more than 32oz daily the excess fluids were seaping out of my liver into my abdomen. So every 2 weeks or so i would drive a hour 1 way just to go get a Paracentesis done, which is where they instert a catheter into my abdomen and attach it to a pump system to drain all the excess fluids that built up, not the funnest way to spend my day and it also caused quite a bit of discomfort afterwards. Then i got a new kidney specialist and she listened to my heart and wanted me to get a echocardiogram done because my heart didnt sound good. So i did that and found out all the excess fluids damaged my heart, and in order for me to get a kidney transplant my heart has to be healthy enough. So she started me on a heart medication that also helps with fluid retention. And im sooo happy to say i no longer look like im 25 months pregnant 😂 that med literally changed my life, im slowly getting back to my normal bean pole body, and i no longer get pregnancy questions. Sorry for the book, but you being so open made me feel such a connection to you because i know the feelings you are experiencing. Just dont give up or lose hope you never know they might be able to find a way to help you. ❤❤❤❤

New subie, love ur content had to subscribe! I totally get what u went through with ur Dr and dermatologist. I went through the same thing with my daughter, they kept prescribing topical meds and did nothing at all some did the opposite. So I did my own investigation and with lots trials and errors, 3 things I swear by Coconut Oil, CeraVe and 100% organic Shea Butter. So good that faded away all her eczema scars she had from all the her scratching...I always recommend these because my poor girl went through so much since she was born , she's now 11 and just about two years we finally figured what worked for her!

As someone who suffers from skin conditions, eczema, acne/cyctic acne, and cysts at times. I also have skin conditions associated with my autoimmune disease ( very dry skin, face " rash," which looks like eczema. (Schogrens) I understand. One thing I've embraced at 35 is this is me. I'll do everything I can to take care of my overall health and skin health. But I love me regardless.

@@LifeWithRupy I am so glad you talked about what you're dealing with. I've always loved your swatches & your skin is beautiful. I am so glad you got some answers! I actually started a type of elimination diet a few months back because of my health issues too. I completely cut out red meat, dairy & almost all sugar! I have since added small amounts of dairy back but not red meat or sugar. Red meat & sugar for absolute certain cause my autoimmune issues to flare badly. I can eat white meat (no pork tho!) & eggs as well as fish but the two times I tried eating red meat I had horrible pain & swelling in my joints! Love you 💜

@@blendofdays I’m done with sugar for good… and probably gluten and most dairy. Red meat so far I’ve been okay with but I really do want to see a naturopath for more guidance.
