I got the spark plugs as you recommended. Here is the result of the experiment. 2005 Suzuki GS500 - Brisk Spark Plug BR12ZC. First attempt - Temperature 7 Celsius degrees no choke. Result- did not star. Second attempt - Temperature 7 Celsius degrees with choke. Result- did not star. Third Attempt - Temperature 7 Celsius degrees no choke + little throttle .Result- did not star + BIG EXPLOSION! like the sound of a firework. Put original spark plugs + Choke. Result: Started with no problem. Thanks

Yes yes, I used the correct one for Daytona 675. But unless I remap air/fuel at full throttle, I have many faults like a carburator choking...I changed back to NGK Iridium and had no problems. Many other persons had problem here in Brazil, with this sparks plugs (SRAD 750 and others Daytonas - engines with eletronic fuel injection mostly). Be careful with this spark plugs with some motorcycle models. Can not provided the expected result.

So far just fine after a couple thousand miles. They do have about 25% higher internal resistance compared to iridium plugs. That tends to make them a little cold blooded. And LiFe Shorai batteries are also cold blooded. So with both in the bikes, near freezing things things get a little harder to start but once started things really take off. Overall I am pleased with them. Price has dropped down to under $12.

That's awesome!! For such a cold blooded bike, those plugs make a huge difference! I've moved on the fuel injected bike, but that obviously makes a diffenece...probably the same for other bikes of the same ilk...Ninja 500R...my daughter will be starting to ride soon, so great tech advice! Later.

Those are Suzuki SV650 mirrors. I believe they come with long and shory stalks. These are long. They look great and go well with the bike.

Thanks for that! I bought some on ebay a few weeks ago, still waiting for them to arrive. can't remember if I ordered long or short... but at least I bought the right ones. Cheers

One other thing to remember: stock plugs are 18mm wrench. Brisk are 16mm wrench. It is possible they were not properly installed if you did not have a 16mm wrench.

I bought some of these plugs for my GS as well. I had the same issues as Max. The bike wouldn't start without a LOUD backfire first. I put in some NGK 4926 plugs and the ploblem went away.

I use these plugs in my Kawasaki ZR7 and they make a hell of a difference. the just pulls harder though the gears now.

Just fitted a Brisk plug to my MZ Skorpion thumper - the one with the yam 660 engine - def much better - tick over went from a erratic 1100 rpm to a smooth 1250 - pick up seemed crisper too - road test it tomorow

I did find they tend to have more carbon build-up than stock plugs. I guess because the spark goes all over rather than just one spot there is less tendency to burn off deposits. So clean them more often. I did that today and my bike that was fussy in cold weather started right up at 40* and immediately went to 4k rpm with the choke on. So advice is clean them more often than stock plugs. That's the only drawback - otherwise they are superior to stock plugs.

You need to be sure you use the correct ones for your bike. What is used inthe GS500 might not be correct for your bike. I also fine that the electrical system needs to be functioning properly. The Brisk are a little sensitive to low voltage due to the larger spark and longer path it has.

Maybe not connected right. Did you remove the little screw cap on the top? What is the voltage on your bike? These plugs do require proper voltage where other plugs can fire with low voltage and bad batteries. Was the spark plug cap properly pressed on?

There really is not a valid comparison between a GS500 with carbs and your fuel injected system. Changing plugs in a controlled FI system would require remapping of the system. You're mapped for NGK Iridium plugs. If you put in non-iridium plugs, you'd still have to remap the system. If you remapped with the Brisk plugs, I am sure you would find the expected results.

Cont... What went wrong? 1. I guess this spark plug is not the right substitute. 2. This is a prank. 3. waste of 45 bucks + time.

You re not telling what your problem is. "It don't work" does nothing to assist you. You are not telling what bike you have what plug you used to use and what you replaced it with. There can be many reason why you have a problem - none of which you mentioned.
