I watched this movie the day my dad died. By the time I saw him on his final day, he was too far gone to say anything. I kept trying to see him but he kept delaying it, then he took a quick turn for the worse. I never had that final conversation with him and that'll always hurt. "I'm sorry I didn't do none of it right, but I'm damn lucky you're my boy" is exactly something he would have said. He wasn't the best Dad, but he was my Dad. And I miss him everyday.

I recently watched the Fresh Prince episode with Will’s dad. I immediately thought of this scene when Uncle Phil hugged him in the end. My mom was adopted and has no interest in finding her bio parents. Blood doesn’t mean anything in the long run. It’s those who raise you and love you that are your real parents. My mom and dad r divorced. Even when they were together, my dad never wanted to get to know me. He didn’t really talk to me and he was always playing video games. I only have at most 5 good memories and I think that is all I will have. On Father’s Day, I didn’t have anything nice to say about him. As bad as that sounds, it is A LOT worse to say that. Now that I moved 2 hrs away, he complains it is far drive. I actively try to do stuff outside with him but, all he is interested in is tv. I know I should luv him a lot, but I don’t. He doesn’t try. He is not in my top list of people. They r my friends. My mom printed off a picture of me and him and put it on my board of important people. I took it down. I’ve never really had that dad power/influence on my life other than heart break. So this quote (at least to me) symbolizes that, he might be related to u, but he never cared enough to try. Don’t hate on me 4 saying this.

At the end of the first movie, it was suspected Peter was after he was able to survive holding the Power Stone without being killed and he didn't believe it. It wasn't until this movie, he learned he was half-Celestial from his birth father, Ego, and has a sister, Mantis, that is also capable of a similar power(due to her being half-Celestial). (for blakedevitt9948) Before Ego died, he begged Peter to reconsider what would happen to him if he died. He would lose his Celestial abilities and be a mortal. This was something Peter didn't mind much because of it. He lost that ability after Ego was killed. So it was likely that Yondu gave up his last breathing apparatus to help Peter survive.
