I am all for beef squashing, especially when its on some petty shit. But I would have never imagined Jeezy and Gucci Mane to come together like this given how serious the beef was, I mean Jeezy alledgly was responsible for Gucci almost getting killed from a home invasion and Gucci is responsible for killing Jeezy's alleged home boi, Pookie Loc. Whom I am convinced couldn't have been a very close friend of Jeezy's, I mean Gucci was still disrespecting Pookie during the Verzuz. Somebody on a hip hop site raised an interesting point, Jeezy came across as the grown man taking the higher ground, and even though Gucci was still dissing. However, Jeezy has been painted in this positive light, but if the story of the beef is true, he was the one responsible for it escalating to such an extent in the first place. Whether he put a hit on Gucci head or just his chain, he has a lot of accountability in it reaching that boiling point. Thus instead of acting like "I'm the bigger man, it's been 15 years and you still on the same shit," should his stance been more apologetic, not just to Gucci but to Pookie and his family too? Are we conveniently overlooking this in our praise of his handling of the situation? What y'all think?

I swear this is the best analysis I've seen about this topic, very well done. One point that nobody touched was that to me Jeezy needed this battle more than Gucci, he has been getting a lot of negative publicity from Gibbs and other rappers questioning his character and his credibility - I think that he knew this was a great opportunity to remind everybody about his catalog and at the end of the day he showed himself as the bigger / more mature man which more or less everybody respected. I don't think theres really a loser here, they both shown that you can move past the bullshit and be great together as a huge fan of both I think this was one of the greatest moments I've ever witnessed in Hip Hop. Just wanted to share my 2 cents, keep up the good work and the discussions guys!
