Holy Guacamole the production quality, the calming and clear voice, the 360 turnarounds of the miniatures and lore are amazing. :)

Just got an awsome rakdos miniature yesterday at cm games. Can’t wait to finish the paint job. I’ve got so many of these minis to go with it like the shadow dancer.

You mentioned a lot of the cards in which the miniatures were inspired but not my girl Teysa Karlov =( The colors on that Orzhov Advokist are a bit off but it's her. (And she later became an unofficial lider of the Orzhov, so it's another one of the guild masters represented [kinda])

The Gruul Anarch is based off the character Domri Rade who is a Planeswalker
@TheGallantGoblin

Sharp eye! I think we mention that toward the end of the video when we cover the planeswalkers Domri, Vraska, and Ral having minis in the set even though they are not named on the base. We did miss Teysa and Tajic being in the set until others pointed them out though! -Grady

In the book it says that the wind drake uses the stats of a pteranodon
@TheGallantGoblin

Thank you for pointing that out! We added that oversight to the Corrections section of the video description as KZitem no longer allows in-video annotations. This was when we learned that the search function on D&D Beyond seems to miss sections of the text and not to rely on that feature alone too much!

The firefist mini can be used as Tajic, another important character o/ Man, that Ledev Guasrdian mini is the coolest in this set! Also, i'm looking foward for the other two videos, keep with the good job, you deserve more people following you!

I am surprised the Firefist is a Common, given that in-game stats make them high level Paladins. Then again, the rarity in these sets never made much sense before, either... Same on how Jarad is an Uncommon - probably the first Lich mini at that rarity point.

@@TheGallantGoblin Same here, one of my players is going to be a Vedalken, so I am buying this to give him some familiar faces to fight, and team up with. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like a Vedalken is in here, only the starter set. But I could probably just paint a wizard's face blue.

Great to see a new review from you! :) I bought only one brick of this since MtG isn't that interesting to me, but I do want to get most of the Commons and Uncommons from the set as they can be used well to represent other D&D creatures. For example, this has to be the easiest to get Sphinx mini in all the history of D&D minis, frankly - all previous types have been Rares.
@TheGallantGoblin

True point! One thing we're thinking about doing is a video showcasing all the different minis available for different kinds of creatures. For example, a look at all the goblinoids across Icons of the Realms and Nolzur's (and Pathfinder?), or all the giants, or sphinxes, etc. Does that sound helpful?
@commanderbbshockwave8698
5 жыл бұрын
@@TheGallantGoblin Yeah, that sounds pretty useful, comparing the current minis! For Giants, Pathfinder still follows the 3E rules so most of them are Large, but D&D 5E went back to the 2E stats and made them Huge again (I prefer that) - so it is useful if you showcase both as people have different preferences based on what editions they follow. :)
@TheGallantGoblin
5 жыл бұрын
Yes, indeed. I definitely prefer them being huge as well. Thank you kindly for the feedback! We've got dozens of videos on the drawing board. Now we just have to prioritize.

@TheGallantGoblin
4 жыл бұрын
There’s a video coming out today that answers those questions and more, but right now the answers are 1) yes, WizKids plans to make huge Ravnica features but no details have been shared and 2) the August Icons of the Realms set, which will have huge figures, is for Theros. I am personally very excited for Theros and am writing several DMs Guild supplements for it. -Grady
