We have a quite a collection of Marshalltown hand tools. Really like them. Never tried a roller screed. Bummer on the low spot in the floor .

Nice massive concrete job, as far as the low spot you ended up with, (just a suggestion here), stick with what you know works ie the vibrator.......... Now, with the "foot prints" in the fresh concrete, ( just me being the ornery person I am ), I would have messed with him a little bit telling him to step back into the foot prints and stand there until it dries and then telling him thats where he will be stuck..... Just as a funny, I know there was no harm done and was an easy fix.

There is cement buildings and bridges 1000 yrs old in Greece, the only reason they lasted that long is they did not use rebar

@@mannfamilyfarms381 Make sure the base is compacted, and just make it thicker or add fiberglass to the mix
