Do you ever worry about birds of prey getting the guinea pigs because they're outside? I am afraid to let my little Chihuahua out in the yard alone, because I have seen hawks and eagles circling overhead, so I always go outside with her. Do you even have any birds of prey there? I live in Michigan, USA. EDIT: I should have watched till the end before commenting, lol. So the guinea pigs actually see the bird's shadow and run and hide? Wow! I know that guinea pigs are very smart, and they each have their own personalities, and they know their own names! I had 5 guinea pigs years ago, and I love them! 😊💕 I read once that citrus fruit hurts their gums, and that's why they're not crazy about it, so I never fed mine citrus. 🤷

hi Kevin yes the boys are quite large for guinea pigs the average weight for guinea pigs is around 900 grams or just under a kg as per the net my guinea pigs are well over the average they weigh in at average 1.2 kg or 1200 grams so they are on the larger size there is a few smaller one that I have rescued of later and look under weight we all need a range of good food and not just one thing the same with guinea pigs , I have given a home to some guinea pig from a small enclosure and only feed lettuce day after day , and they were not very well at all , but picked up with good food and room to exercise
