A new and fantabual lesson, Emil. You are expanding ears and minds, getting folks out of pent-up-boxes. The first minor idea (1, 3, 5, 7, 6 - minor 6 chord) always reminds me of the hook in Louis Jordan’s “Is You Is Or Is You Aien’t”. I thought it was the coolest sound when I heard it 40 years ago, and still love it. Great lesson man.

@@proguitarofficial And - your continual encouragement here and on ProGuitar to move ideas around the neck and into different keys has opened up some new understandings of the neck. Cheers…

What an incredible instrument tone and player. The guitar sounds like a classic recording instrument from the golden era of acoustic guitar tone.

Thanks for this lesson... I've been studying since it came out. a question: if I play a blues I-IV-V can I use the minor fifth degree arpeggios also of the IV and V when I am on them or only that of the first degree, the reference totality? thanks Emil

So glad you’re learning from the lesson!! Great question! Yes, you can use the minor arpeggio from the 5th of each chord in the blues!!😍 it might sound a bit more jazzy if you do 😎
