I think since Nolly & Mark got involved, it helped him elevate his game.

ABSOLUTELY man. everytime I've ever jammed or wrote and recorded with better players in any sense, I get a ton of inspiration and pickup on a ton of new technique.

Why they use a Playback Song here? I mean the overtone/ flageolet at 4:17 is from up to down and on the video we see a vibrato ...
@JonathanT.Nelson

Because in the recording they definitely used a floyd and the guitar he's playing is a hardtail.
@jhmusic1

@@JonathanT.Nelson Mark recorded that riff on his signature PRS, which doesn't have a floyd. It's a pinch harmonic in drop G with a really floppy string so the harmonic can be bent rather high. You can hear in the original recording it does actually go low-high-low, it's just really quick to the high part. To the original comment, you can hear Mishas actual part if you listen closely. You can hear that vibrato you see in the video, it's just rather quiet in comparison to the track being played along with

@@jhmusic1 Gotcha, that makes more sense why he'd try to play it on a hardtail. I just assumed that it was a floyd since they've started to mess with those like on motormouth.

As Tyler Smith says, he is probably just using the EVH to power his Axe FX.

I never realized how many dad riffs he plays lol.. Mark has always been my favorite peripheral person. Periphery should maybe make their songs a little less dense because there’s a ton of great stuff we can’t even hear with it being all choked out by a thousand more instruments
