Big thumbs up - nice work on doing that by hand and making it look so good. I don't know if I would have the patience, and yet, if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing right. I feel inspired.

Hi, thanks for watching. Sadly the 3D file for this was on a laptop that died a little while ago and was lost. There are some similar designs here... sambapedalboards.com/building-your-pedalboard/

I think it's a fantastic job and I'd like to copy some things. I'd like to ask you a few questions, On the connection panel, what are the "amp" and "fx loop" connections for? The rest is the current input to the power supply, the output of the pedals "out" and the cable of one of the pedals, right?
@Adventuresfromtheshedofdreams
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, the conections are the out to the amplifier and the fx loop are the send and return cables for the effects loop of the amp. The others as you say are the power supply and the cable for the amplifier footswitch. Depending on the amp you intend to use you might not need the FX loop out puts.

Thanks Danny, I use a magnetic saw guide to do my dovetails, generally they are 1:7 for this type of work/wood.

Thanks for letting me know , I went to woodwork school in Switzerland back in 1995 and the first year they showed us how to do the dovetail with the “Thales” rule , that carpenters used back in the old times….of course I was young and wanted to play music so I didn’t go any further in that school…. I wish I did now that I see what I could build , guitars , pedalboards maybe amps? Thanks!!

Super job on the pedal board! May I ask what you used for cutting the dovetails ... it looked like a block of blue anodized aluminium.

Thanks, it's a David Barron magnetic dovetail guide. A great quality bit of kit that makes dovetailing much easier.
