Amazing lesson. This is the stuff that an in person teacher could help with but online leaves out. It's super basic but so helpful to know what your hand should do. I struggled w/ a lot of this stuff.

So glad to hear that you dug into the lesson and got some value out of it. I agree that this stuff is often overlooked, but as you can see for yourself learning about the correct guitar right hand placement and all the little variations and techniques really makes a massive difference. Thanks for checking out the lesson, keep ripping Roger! -Will

I recently picked up a guitar for fun and this video really helped me put more emphasis on proper "form" and my playing instantly got better! It's easy to find simple riffs online but this is the kind of content I needed to level up! Thanks!

Very good video! I got a question, when you alternate pick, say between the G and B string, would you move your elbow so that your wrist isn’t reaching for the next string or using your wrist to reach for the next string? Thanks for the video!

So many crap videos on this subject. This is NOT one of them, great stuff, I've forwarded this onto all my Zoom students. We'll all subscribe to your channel.

Thanks for that Dan. I find the right hand placement and technique to be a game changer for guitar students!! Luckily for me I naturally figured it out, but sometimes I wonder if I didn't!! How many students do you teach?

You look a lot like Brad Kalvo, I’m sure you get that all the time.

Hello, great lesson. Does the side of the right thumb touch the strings? Like the knuckle before the thumb nail. Mine does and I’ve found I get unwanted string noise.
