It’s not just that it’s that the desire to be loved is never ending she always wants more and more. It’s like a noose tightening around her neck. She fails in finding it with her parents, she tries romance and finds it insufficient. When she finally breaks in the end she questions if this is what happiness is. She followed all the steps but found no fulfillment

Ado is Japan's most successful artist right now, and for a reason - she's extremely versatile with her voice and with the styles of music she sings. She literally knows no genre limits and that's what makes her so cool imho. Aishite is probably not the best introduction to her work if you're not familiar with japanese music 🙂 - but songs like "Backlight", "Ussewa" or "Tot musica" may be.

There's no one in the world who can jump between insane mixes, distortion, falsetto, and belting like Ado can. There's probably a handful of people who can do something like this in a studio, but I'd say no one else could do this live, let alone in the middle of a show like this. This particular song was originally built for a synthetic vocal program called "Vocaloid". This song is particularly unhinged, a translation of the title could be "Love me, Love me, Love me", which is what she's singing in the chorus, going between sounding cute, to sounding like a demon. It's a desperate and unhinged form of love, which explains why it's sung that way. The original producer mentioned they refuse to learn theory and prefer a more free form and experimental style. Ado's just covering this song with her incredible and unique style. There are many other songs that are significantly more normal. Songs like Crime and Punishment, Value, Backlight and Show are probably a bit easier to get into. She also has other songs where she really shows off her full range like this one, my personal favourite is her cover of Unravel, which also has an excellent live version, and has excellent guitars (since it was originally written by a rock/metal guitarist and vocalist), as well as the song God-ish, which was explicitly not written for a human singer, and of course, Ado sings anyway.

Strongly disagree on Michael reacting to her unravel cover. If he someday decides to react to this song, then he should watch a live performance of the original version of TK from Ling Tosite Sigure. He is the songwriter and composer, he sings and plays the guitar live while very talented musicians support him on the other instruments. Imo it would be much more exciting to watch him analyse that. Nothing against Ado because I think she is very talented as well. Even though I don't know a lot about her discography, I think people should suggest her original songs instead of covers (even if they are good).

This is a live performance of a cover of Kikuo's most popular Vocaloid song, Love Me Love Me Love Me. Rightfully so, his composition is insane as he incorporates a wide variety of instruments and playing around with atypical chord progressions. He typically just DJs his songs at live sets with each song's creepy music videos as a backdrop; he's doing a USA tour right now! Oh, and everyone has already explained Ado, one of Japan's rising stars. She uses her wide range of singing techniques to bring her own style into the songs and of course her live performances are really popular.

Loved the reaction. You were so focused on music you kinda missed the point. Ado is a VOCALIST. Thank you for picking a Japanese music. “ADO" is a wonderful expressionist and a wonderful artist. Her anonymity is mainly about private freedom and works, and ADO herself expresses it with her voice (As a singer) because her own appearance information is not necessary for the work. In addition, it is her own choice, and the Japanese people respect it and accept it without any problems. It's good to have various people. There are many other great artists in Japan. Japan has a wide variety of music, songs, and artists. and Japanese music is very diverse. Japan's music industry has long been the second largest market after the United States . Until recently, Japanese artists had a language barrier and the Japanese domestic market was too big(The Japan music market is the second biggest in the world,) so they were not actively selling overseas, that's why most of the artists are not known outside of Japan, But Many of the songs that were hits in Hong Kong and Korea other Asian countries in the 1980s and 1990s were Japanese cover songs (many of them were popularized as songs from their own country). However, with the development of KZitem videos and subtitles, language barriers are disappearing. so there are still great finds. Another thing that may be helpful. In Japanese music, lyrics are an integral part of the song. They are quintessential. Recently, Japanese music videos seem to have English subtitles for the lyrics. You may find it more enjoyable to listen to the song with English subtitles (CC) .of course Not all Japanese song lyrics are translated but you may them interesting. I sometimes see people searching for Japanese music by genre on KZitem. In Japan, it is often the case that music is neither produced nor listened to by genre. That's why I think it's difficult to search for Japanese music by genre. But that is also the Characteristic and good thing about Japanese music. The live quality of Japanese music is high, It's very organised. but if you want to find Japanese music other than MVs and LIVE videos, the Japanese music content ``THE FIRST TAKE'' is a convenient way to find a wide variety of Japanese artists, a few non-Japanese artists appear. please, discover more Japanese music. There has already been a musical instrument town in Japan for a long time.but Now, Japanese music is attracting Worldwide attention, So, Fender also sees Japan as an important base Fender's world's first flagship store "FENDER FLAGSHIP TOKYO" opened in a prime location in Harajuku on Friday, June 30, 2023. please, discover more Japanese music. Japanese music has an unknown pleasure that changes the concept of your music. There are many popular artists besides female bands. l recommend The band name "ONE OK ROCK" 「Renegades」「I was King [Official Video from Orchestra Japan Tour]」「We are」 The quality of Japanese music LIVE is famous for its high quality in the first place. The MV is also good, but I recommend the LIVE video. Recently, it seems that Japanese female bands are gaining popularity worldwide. ◉ BAND-MAID / HATE? (Official Live Video) ◉ BAND-MAID / Don't you tell ME (Official Live Video) ◉ 花冷え( HANABIE)/ We love sweets (MV) ◉LOVEBITES / We The United [Official Live Video taken from "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II"] ◉ Gacharic Spin「MindSet」( MV) ◉ NEMOPHILA / DISSENSION [Official Music Video] l hope you like them!

Well, I would say studio version of her songs is from her view as a "SINGER" But for live versions, she is a "PERFORMER or ACTOR", bring the emotion from the song and reacting to them. We can see there are many layers for the emotion of that song, instead of singing just clean and beautiful, her live performance have so many layers. She obviously can sing with clean voice like you say "RED", especially New Genesis, The World's Continuation and Where the Wind Blows, but the emotion of this song just doesn't match with that tone. So, in my view, both are great performance, just in different aspect, as a singer or as a performer.

this song is awfull, sure im sure there are many technical great things about it (vocal performance, instrumental ... ), it sure is original and maybe it s amazing for the context intended (an anime idk), but this is soo ugly to the ears i dont know of any context in which i would like to listen to that

This has nothing to do with the anime

It's his fault for listening to a live performance; it's an incredible performance meant to give people who've already heard the song a version with even stronger emotions in line with the _narrative_ meaning of the song. Because it's a performance in the narrative sense rather than in the musical sense, the song sounds VERY different. Give an actual studio version a try instead.

Wtf, it all sounds like the ramblings of an insane person. Not for me, at all!

That's the point of the song, it's about emotionally broken child seeking attention.
