Mike that is ridiculous! Every time i think i am starting to get somewhat capable on guitar you show something that puts me back in kindergarden. To Mr. Dawes and Emmanuel: How does it feel to wake up every morning knowing you can make that kind of magic on a fretboard? I dont think I would be able to sleep at night for fear I might miss my next incredible performance! Thank you both for putting in the long hours it takes to perform like you do. Such beautiful paintings should be framed and displayed for future generations to wonder at. Thanks again Mike Palmisano for bringing these great performances to us. Peace

Tommy let's Mike shine....I thought so too. Tommy is a great guy, I was lucky enough to meet him and get my inlay for "The Journey" signed, he is a lovely person who just gets off completely on bringing joy to others through his performances. I was thinking as Mr Palmisano talking that Tommy was letting Mike have the limelight and just throwing in some tasty accents and then he said as much, well read and nicely said. Nicely played too by Mike and Tommy.

I think much of what sets these two apart from even other great guitarists is the amount of practice they put in. I know Tommy mentions it in every interview he does. If we were a fly on the wall for a week in one of their houses, we mortals would blow our minds at how much they work on one song, let alone just warming up and practicing different techniques, and then trying to come up with new stuff. Talent, yeah, but these two work their fingers to the nubs. It amazes me how dexterous Tommy's fingers still are after having played for so long in his career.

Hi Michael! I've just recently discovered your channel watching you react to Tommy Emmanuel - Classical Gas (which is one of my favourite guitar pieces ever) and catching up ever since, you have a wonderful way to explain stuff and a sincere passion for the guitar that speaks also to the non guitar players (but enthusiasts) like me. For another reaction, if I may, I'd suggest anything by Estas Tonne. My personal favourite is The song of the Golden Dragon. Unfortunately with him is not easy to find a video where you can always clearly see him play. But he's definitely worth it. Thank you for what you do and keep up the amazing work! (I wrote a lot and I'm not native so I hope I didn't slaughter the english language..lol)

Love this stuff!! I have met Mike. Back on his first time in NYC. He played The Iridium. I showed up with my Bass player. We got to hang out with Mike and one of his students after the show. What a great player!!! he was only in his early 20s then, I think. I have been a devote of Tommy since he's been over here in the states. And "try" to emulate both of their fingerstyle playing. Maybe at half speed.... LOL... Nice video there Mike!! Also liked that live show you did a couple of weeks back. Wish I had your ear.... I barely have my own. LOL!

Best quality video this commenter has ever seen for reaction purposes. Hardly surprising that someone who has been playing professionally since 6 years old in bands etc., would have any trouble providing really classy accompaniment(if that's what it's correctly called) to another player. This song is by Gauto(Gautier) isn't it? I imagine MD plays this tune as part of his resume, and TE just chimed in easy as. Reminds me of the kind of "elder" thing Carlos S does so well on tracks like Corazon Espinado and ....Guitar Gently Weeps.
