It is incredible how the aircraft gets so quiet after the gear is up.

There is an internal door that can be closed that covers the main entry door. It gets even quieter when it is closed. It has to be open for takeoff and landing.

I love glass cockpits, and the Symmetry flight deck is a damn good system.

The seats look very uncomfortable. Pilots cannot set comfortably and work.

The seats are extremely comfortable.

This is a 100 million dollar plane and pilots getting paid around 5k a day contract. The seats could be made of wood and pilots would still fly it. But regardless I would bet my life these seats feel nicer than a Herman miller chair.

Exactly my thought. I became a pilot because I love pushing and flipping switches, not to play with a touch screen.

It looks like you are leaning forward a lot, is that an ergonomic opportunity to improve? the instruments being placed too far away. Also the whole center console shouldn't be there. None of that needs to be oversize mechanical controls. It blocks getting in and out of seats. Which led to a crash dive incident in a boeing not long ago.

@@DanFrederiksen "The father of deep learning?" Are you a pilot? It's totally normal to lean forward during the departure and approach phase.
@DanFrederiksen

@@matt9108 yes but see, I'm intelligent and I question 'normal'. If I have to lean forward in my Tesla that's an ergonomic design failure. And I can tell you that's not the only mistake in this cockpit. It should be one big screen per pilot, it should be much closer, there should be no massive center console, no panels in the ceiling, no autopilot top bar. Some ancient airliner did that and now they all just mindlessly copy it. The throttles shouldn't be big metal controls like it's the titanic. Could easily be on the joystick. Take away all the dash you can see and replace with 30" display for each and a small joystick. That would be intelligent design. This... not so much. It's poorly functioning pretentious clutter. It's especially emperor's new robes in airliners that are even worse. Even the very latest like A350 doesn't have synthetic vision. That's a special kind of precious.
