+jo go Is not as simple as just writing. started as a fan fiction for the anime Gantz back in 2006 (before I was in high school), then was slowly becoming something original, as I was adding original characters and original plots, completely detaching from Gantz - then the whole idea of the universe which the story takes place came about, its background, its politics, its mythos. That alone was trial and error for a couple of years until I found a perfect solution I could dive myself into. Then it was time to settle the provinces, the cities, the fortress, the biomas of each region. Then I was forced to sacrifice certain characters as they wouldn't fit the story and create new lines to merge new ones. Then I became invested in "multiple storylines", like GRRM's "A Song of Ice and Fire" (because until then it was a "single storyline" approach). After all the characters were resolved, then I needed to create the groups related to each character and at which time of the storyline these characters were needed. With the skeleton complete (years of work, giving time for the idea to mature itself), I could work the plot with no problems - settle the themes, the messages, the battles. Having an "A to Z" line. As of today, I'm finally writing it all down since last year, with no rush. Many years to prepare and to learn the "how not to"s to finally do it right. I did not have any help since day 1. It's more like a "project". I say "book" to make it easy for others to undestand, as I'm the only one who knows and cares about all the work I've put into it. Last, but not least. *Your book, not "you're".
@E101ification

+jo go - It's 'your book is shit', not 'you're'. And do you have any idea how long it takes to write a novel? No, because you're obviously a fucking idiot.

Will do dude! If I'm honest, it's so inspirational that you're reaching out to these kind of people. Being a media student myself and in my third year of my university course it's so relatable and understandable where you want to go and how/when you want to get there. Building these kind of connections will have a massive impact of your career at a later date. Doing something like this and pushing for something you love will open up so many paths that you had no idea were there. Honestly I'm kind of envious that you are where you're at. I'd love to play some games or even have a one to one chat about you with this kind of stuff. If I had a suggestion, I'd probably reach out to the company who created deadspace and head out to interview their staff directly. With everything they are working on it might be a long shot but it may be worth a try! Another suggestion would be possibly contacting some animators that would be a big fan to the dead space series and use your writing skills to create a fan made series that would inspire this from what you believe would come after dead space 3. I have many ideas that could probably fill a whole website. But all in all dude, I'm incredible grateful that there's someone like you out there doing what you love doing and doing some unspeakable things. On a side note, I have taken part of your Facebook group which is named "Dead space universe" I believe? I would like you to know that you're first Facebook link in the comment isn't working. Can't wait to hear from you dude and Dead Space on!

You may try to get in touch with Jason Graves. As the main composer for the series, it may be interesting to get his input on Dead Space 4. If anything, you'll get a different perspective on the series. I'm a huge fan of everything Dead Space. I beat the trilogy of games including the dlc, read all the books and comics, watched both animated movies, and learned Marker Scrawl. When watching the clip of Isaac in the eye machine, the symbols that flash across the screen spell out Convergence. Just a cool fact I thought you'd like to know.

Best thing about Isaac having a voice was that he only spoke when it was necessary. Ever since Uncharted, more n more games tried to be like Nathan Drake but always failed because they never shut up n just didnt have that charm from Naughty Dogs writing and Nolan North's voice acting. There was the whole thing about timing too n Nathan Drake always spoke a lot during gameplay but it never annoyed you while others did. So it was worrying knowing that Isaac was gonna have a voice n might turn into another Nathan Drake rip off but thankfully he was nothing like him. They actually gave us the perfect Isasc voice n he only spoke when it was necessary. Visceral Game n Gunner Wright did a fantastic job!

Dead Space is a great game not only because of the action and terror but the main character as well, he is not a marine and he happens to be insane, and having to overcome physical and mental situations sometimes at the same time really makes this series unique. I like dead space 3, sure its not as scary as the others (after all you have a friend now) but it still packs all the good things from previous games plus coop.

I gotta say that issac Clarke is probably my favorite character in video game history, and knowing that the man who brought him to life is just as awesome makes my day.

when i think about it. why did they put cold padding on the engineer suit? it couldve make dead space 3 really challenging on how to keep your body heat throughout the whole game. if u get cold u would shake and shiver. that would disrupt your aim... i mean idk.. i know they went through a lot with the whole ea/visceral type deal. i mean the survival aspect of temperature is very scary as well. imagine that if you went too far, you couldnt turn back. you could have hot packet in the inventory to reheat your body just like health packs. and heat stations to recharge your hot packets would be in really tight space. or filled with weird ass shits. everytime you regain heat you would be relieved but it would trigger a trauma or somethin? idk.. just ramblin

Sure thing man! All I did was go to his website & send him an email. You can find it here - www.gunnerwright.com/new-page-1/ Just go to contact and send the message. Sounds super easy but that's all it takes :) You can say that I sent you, maybe you'll get a quicker response. Good luck!

I loved this interview man! Really good job. And hey I’m currently in exactly the same position as you, I’m studying at university not as a film major but as an actor, I’m also working retail and hoping to get out of it soon to get that dream of living off my passion. So it was nice to hear from another young creative person to reassure ourselves that we’re all in the same boat! And I think Gunner is the perfect guy to take inspiration from. Best of luck with the future man.

As long as the guy only grunts and screams thats great... I got tired of having "Mr. Action Hero" monologue when I'm trying to have a sci fi horror experience.
