Awesome building skill. But panel lining still left alot smudges(15:00 front of waist) and incomplete line (like the left back skirt didn't line all the way 15:34). Maybe you lost patience at the end but I personally like panel lining, that's the thing that made even straight build standout.

I love Gundam just as much as the next anime guy. But I must admit, I've never been a huge fan of the colorfulness of the franchise's mecha. I ADORE this more grounded, darker take on the paint app. It's far more realistic to how a real-life militarized group would paint and tag their fighting equipment. Great metal-work by-the-way.

These videos are amazingly well done so thanks for that! I am trying to get into this hobby and I have a sincere question about top coats. Are you applying a top coat twice? Once before panel lining and decals and once afterward? And if so, why not just top coat it once after everything?
@placross

The top coat before panel lining will protect the paint job so if you add panel line then do a clean up you won't remove the paint job by mistake. Happened to me once.

I notice you cut the parts from the base of the runner instead of where the little nubs hold the part in, and then cut again to remove those nubs. Why not just cut close to the part the first time and save a second round of cutting?
