So, Gus got a buff! And honestly, it’s a super interesting one, and while it’s probably not what he needs, considering the knockback also applies when you give the shield to an ally, I think it’ll let gus pull some crazy supportive plays

Ironicaly, removing his knockback made him so bad. I also think the ghost should slowly walk to the nearest injured ally. With that, he wouldnt have the issu of throwing his health on the ennemy side.

Yeah and they buffed a lot the snipers damage so they can now shred through his shield. With both of those he went from trading or winning interactions to now just losing them. Also I love the idea that the ghost would walk to you but how would that work if your team is full health?

Gus is my second main and I feel that he's become useless because of hypercharge and damage inflation and because of how difficult it is to get a kill without his kooky popper and it ruins him as a support brawler. Also your going to go through all the bad or undertuned brawlers and ive waited so long to see someone do this.

Yep I’m going through brawlers that’s are either undertuned or have a really bad/ one sided kit. The next one is bonnie and then I have a list for the ones after that.

After the recent Gus buff he feels quite nice to play again! Unfortunately it didn’t fix the imbalance with his Star powers and gadgets, but it is fun having him return to a good state.

Gus was made as a clutch support and after all the damage buff everyone is getting his super became useless. Getting to his ghosts is also more useless since it doesn’t help much so i thing a good way to buff him is 1- make his ghost’s range bigger from 0.5tiles to 1tile. Not so good but would make it much easier 1.5-instead of doing the first buff just make his ghost’s heal the same amount of his damage 2-buff the shield:) I could make a whole list of reworks for gus (since i main him) but it would take a long time to finish I also had the same idea for his hypercharge lol:) it would have been named jumpscare but instead of howling the loony balloon(the one he attacks with) would get a purple laughing balloon animation (i animated it but never posted since it was bad.. still learning on animating laughs )

Great video, personally I don’t think his super should weaken over time, since the perceived pressure to push so you get the most out of it just makes my teammates run in and die 🤦🏾♂️

I can't really understand why supercell nerfed gus, he has always been balanced, I hope they revert some gadget nerfs because that's mostly what hurt him

His gadget was what made him unbalanced as double damage and a knock back on a support is crazy. He relied on it too much and when they nerfed it it just showed how undertuned the rest of his kit was. I hope they just buff up the other parts of his kit so his build isn’t so singular.

Amazing video, keep up the good work. One thing i think could be improved upon is the editing, especially aroud 0:29 when you talk about the different types of support brawlers and you literally say "lets look at the support brawlers" I think it would be nice to have some kind of visual going on helping the viewer get to grips with the ideas. I really like the idea behind the videos, such originality and I think the game really needed a content creator talking about these sort of things

i think when the main attack has a ghost available, Gus can shot it to their teamates to make appear the healing ghost next to them, making the healing more useful for the team

In my opinion it just showed how reliant Gus was on his gadget. I think it’s not that big as it’s still the better gadget, and now Gus just needs his other stats buffed up.

Hypercharges ideas: Barley: His super burns bushes and lasts as long as yhe hypercharge lasts. Brock: Every rockets of his super leave behind a trail of fire just like his regular attack. More area control. El Primo: While jumping El Primo leaves behind him a trail of meteors. Fits his character and also just cool. His current one is also fine, but maybe they should increase the hit area a bit. Poco: His super also gives a speed buff to him and his teammates and also a reload speed buff. When I think of fun, I think: ok what is the thing that is missing? When I heal myself or get healed by poco, I want to get back into the action quick, and a speed boost is the way to do that. Tick: The blast radius of his head get massively buffed. To keep the simplicity, but still very strong, brawlers that normaly would destroy the head before it can damage them would now get damage. Maybe, if someone gets hit by his head, their screen shakes like with Darryl's ship, and it will be easier for Tick to hit them. I hate Tick's current hypercharge so much it's so uncreative over the top and doesn't fit his kit. So yeah obviously I prefer my idea here. Rico: His super range get x2.5, and maybe be able to hit brawlers more than once. Well... We all know why. Darryl: His super range gets tripled. Same here. Old super supremacy. Carl: His super goes on as the hypercharge is active, and while he uses the super he can't be stunned or knock backed. This would be some much fun but he has to have the knock back protection otherwise it would be too counterable. Gus: Shield gives the ability to go through walls, or, the ability to shoot through walls. Ghost vibes. Helps the team. New mechanic. Just fun and cool. Bo: places a five mine. More area control and would be actually crazy. Emz: Super weakens the enemy, steal their emmo and causes them to do less damage as long as they in the super. I feel like the emmo is a mechanic that is very underutilized, and that's a shame because many cool things can be done with it. And also, anyone inside the super would be helpless. Stu: His super knocks back enemies. Oh yeahhhhhhhh Piper: Gains invisibility for 5-6 seconds along with the super. Being close to people or shooting doesn't reveal her invisibility. I always imagined that Piper is like a secret agent, or used to be, because she has a gun. That fits her perfectly. Just imagine an invisible sniper. I think there are very cool mechanics in the game that are exclusive to one brawler, and I think it would be very cool to change that. Pam: Heals faster. If you or your teammates stand in this turret radius with full health, you get a consumable shield. (Like the shield gear.) Goes forever. Again. Another mechanic that is only used in one place. Also, we've seen from Jessie's hypercharge that how spawnables work is that they are permanent as long as they been place while it's active. So we need to play with that rule and give them a permanent buff, and that's a great one to be permanent. Imagine all the team with big shield. Bea: Her super goes through walls and enemies. And the slow is a bit longer. I think Bea's super is less about the damage and more about the slow. With that buff, everyone will be slowed. Griff: His letters stay for 3 more seconds and breaks walls. More control. More fun. Mortis: His super gives reduced healing and marks like Belle. (Or/and: make them ghosts like in graveyard shift, that way Mortis will heal just by doing damage.) Would make way easier for Mortis to get a team wipe. And all of these are cool effects. Gene: His super pulls anyone in the area, even if it doesn't hit. Just gives the ability to pull more than one at a time, and can actually pull someone even if the shot didn't connect with a brawler. Like his current hypercharge, just a bit more clean, you don't pull random brawlers, you pull who you meant to. Max: The hypercharge she already has, except: the super slows the hypercharges expire duration. That way the time is like "slowed". At the time of writing this, Max's hypercharge needs to be nerfed, but it does have a major problem: it mainly effect the teammates and not Max itself, and that's a fundamental error, because every support brawler needs to be able to support itself just as much as he supports others. So I figured, if Max helps teammates charge their supers, why won't she do somewhat the same with her charge rate? Mr P: His spawner spawns porters regardless if the last porter it spawns has died already. Again, like with Pam, the buff needs to ne permanent. And an infinite constant flow of porter sounds so much fun. Sprout: His walls are indestructible and damage anyone who touches them AND expand overtime. The wall with still go away after a few seconds. With the expansion, the brawlers would actually get to tight spaces where they would get hit by the wall. Grey: His teleporter restores 1 and a half emmo when teleports. (Maybe: attacks can go through the portal while its active.) Another one to use the emmo mechanic, and this can actually be very useful. The buff is permanent as long as the portals are there. Doug: When his super revives himself or teammates, it revives them hypercharged. This is my favourite one to one of my favourite brawlers. Just pure supremacy. He would actually have the ability to chain hypercharges this way. Chuck: Leaves a trail of fire behind him, like Carl's old gadget. This is just obvious. Simple for a common super, useful and fun. Spike: Every second, his super spawn a cactus like his gadget. I hate Spike's current hypercharge. A slight change to the idea of Kairos, the make the spawning of cactuses more consistent and fun. Amber: anyone that touched the hypercharged puddle gets oiled. When oiled, the next time amber hits him, he gets lit up like with her super. Chester: Along with the super you're using, you use two more random supers. Can't be two of the same one. Like that bug, but this time you don't know what your getting, that would make this extremely chaotic. And it's three, because... Let's be honest, some of his supers are trash, and would insure a good one. Gale: His super leaves behind a slippery area like Lou's super. Another cool mechanic that also fits Gale. Surge: His super upgrades him two levels at once, and while hypercharged, he can upgrade into a fifth stage, that makes his attacks split no matter if it hits something or not. When the hypercharge is over, if he at the fifth stage, he reverts to the forth stage and heals for 2000. This time the effect is not permanent because it's too strong, but you still get the buff with your super. Belle: Her super bounces off brawlers like her main attack, only the effect doesn't disappear when it bounces. Also, people marked can't go invisible in anyway, including bushes. I guess it won't happen, her hypercharge is fine, but still... Janet: She burns anyone she goes above and can control her super easier. Make it easier to prevent enemies from healing, with is a part of Janet's thing, with her super and gadget. Otis: Shoots four projectiles in a cone shape. That way he can mute multiple enemies and it's easier for him to use. Sam: His super stops at half of his range and return back to him. That way he can spam his super. Buster: Shields himself from all directions. That way no one can hurt himmmm Cordilius: Invisible while in the shadow realm. Again with the invisible mechanic, and it would be so cool. And not boring like his current one. Pearl: Super burn enemies like gadget. Better than what she has and fits her kit, although may be a bit overkill. Oh, well, overkill is a part of her kit. Mico: Super restarts the hypercharge. Maybe too strong but would be so cool. If it is too strong it can recharge hypercharge half way. That way he'll be able to recharge it maybe two times top. Anyway, it's better than a useless stun. Melody: Her notes orbit around her way faster when she uses it. Pineapple's idea, it's just so fitting. Angelo: His super moves with him. It's just fitting.

Im not actually a huge fan of the changes you proposed, I think the change that gus needs is to be able to make it easier to get to his ghosts, since his healing is already very strong when ghosts are actually used, as such, I think gus should have a way too pull his ghosts towards him, maybe add that to his soul switcher gadget, or make it a hyper charge (the hyper charge could be when a brawler is sheilded by Gus’s super, all ghosts are pulled closer too you), this would allow for a lot more use out of his ghosts, as well as some cheeky plays with kooky popper. On a related notec kooky popper is a gadget that I think needs a total retooling, as imo, it has so much potential to be used creatively, but there’s one strategy that’s so braindead strong with it that any creativity just isn’t worth it. My change idea is to buff its damage or radius… but it can’t be activated if a new ghost was created 3 seconds ago. Making it stronger when it works, but meaning you have to time it right to get value. It’s probably worse imo, but I also think it’s more fun, and has potential for much bigger plays, at the cost of being less consistent Sorry about the long comment, especially since I already commented once, but I have a lot to say

All good on the long comment 👍🏿 Part of the reason behind creating these types of videos is the fact that I want to build up a non toxic community where we can discuss brawler concepts and the meta. As for your points I feel like my rework does also make it easier to get his ghosts, as cycling 6 shots is a lot easier than hitting 4. And you would be able to throw them towards your teammates rather than relying on them pushing into enemy territory. I really like your hypercharge concept though, as I feel it gives Gus an even greater incentive to use his soul switcher gadget. It might even make it more useful than kooky popper without the changes you proposed for it. Also yeah I feel like the kooky popper changes you proposed might kill the gadget depending on how big or small the radius increase is.

Maybe but the thing with mortis is that he has a very good kit with both of his star powers and gadgets being usable based on the player and still having a decent place in the meta as a counter pick. I would say if he got a hypercharge he would be just as good as buzz and mico.

I think we all thought originally that he would be able to place his ghost wherever he wanted, so i think wheather or not the ghost charges automatically that feature has to be added, honestly i still donno what they were thinking.. like before the cookie popper gadget was gus supposed to heal the enemies? We can never know

My idea for a mythic gear is, that his ghosts spawn behind him instead of on the target, so when you use kooky popper, you shouldnt use that, Butter ghosts are so mutch easier to reach and gus heals himself while attacking, because the ghosts spawn behind him...

I love the idea but that sounds like more of a star power rather than a mythic gear. Every mythic gear so far has been a boost to a brawlers super/main attack or an additional effect to it.

I feel like that was a great change though. A brawler shouldn’t be good just because of a green or purple button. I just think they need to buff the rest of his kit up so he’s not as gadget reliant.

@@Natics_BSafter coming back,it feels like the game has become more generous. The chest were big pain to obtain a new brawler. I am surprised that they they are giving a free buzz in 14 day login reward and brawlers can be unlocked by collecting some points. This is a great improvement. Btw how does gus spirit works? Sometimes they appear and sometimes don't.

Every time you hit an opponent he charges a bar and every 4th shot hit will leave a ghost on the ground. These ghost provide healing to anyone on your team that walks over it.
