I cried and didn't sleep the night I heard the news of his death, even today I feel that I lost a part of me, that this part was ripped from my chest with all strength. Even more so in this pandemic, which I started and have depression, but Berserk was always there for me to read on my shelf. No matter how dark the world is, there is always a light and hope, just like The Lord of the Rings... these two works changed my life and as much as their authors have died in this world, I feel they live in my heart... Rest in peace, Master Kentaro and Tolkien.

As someone who has constantly struggled with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, Guts really is a kind of inspiration for me. After all he went through, he still fought and moved forward. I remember reading Berserk, thinking “how the hell does this man keep moving?” Obviously, he isn’t a real person. I definitely believe that on some level, Berserk is an allegory for overcoming mental health issues, and fighting against the trauma of this world. This song really captures that struggle. Kentaro Muira’s story has really impacted me in so many ways. I wish I could personally thank him for everything he’s done.

Guts is definitely one of the best written characters ever. He's an inspiration to keep going and don't surrender for anyone who suffered from anxiety, depression or loneliness. And I speak for myself too. I started to read Berserk this year and it's been the best thing that happened to me so long ago. I wish he will be able to finally get some rest and have a life with Casca. I just want them to be happy hahahahahah

What I like about this version is that it sounds somehow even more hopeful than the og. The way the first few keys just fade only slightly before the rest of the notes follow is grand. I've always enjoyed piano covers of scores and songs, and while I love the original theme, it always felt like it could be even better. Idk if this cover is the best but it brought its own atmosphere and aesthetic. Great job.

@@shadowgoat9778 yep, sheet music makes things a bit easier but you can play music as long as you know what keys to play and when. improvising is a good example of just not reading any sheet music and coming up with a song on the spot without anything but a basic knowledge of what key to play and the knowledge to know when is a good time to play it.

i love Berserk because i feel no matter which walk of life you come from, you can apply your own value and experience through almost any of the characters as well. for me, guts and his character keeps me going. when he lost the band of the hawk, i felt how he could have felt and the loneliness and rage that comes with it. i only had a few best friends, but they have all died in their own horrible way since 2018. so thank u Guts, i often imagine the scene when the gang makes it to the beach and guts reflects on how he never thought hed have companions again, could sleep through the night. im in the part of my life and story where i have to keep struggling myself, and even one day may find companions to laugh and love with once again. thank you Miura.

Thank you Miura for forever influencing the way I will view storytelling and art, thank you for every second you spend slaving over your work, thank you for every panel you drew, every soul you touched, thank you Miura for everything.

guts theme just hits different, its the type of thing that can bring you a temporary inner peace anything else can. The slow parts of the song represent the sadness and Guts traumas due the eclipse and all that happened on his life, but the fast ones on the other hand represent hope, how Guts wont give up and how there's chances of he achieving his objective after all.

A Place to eat, sleep rest and lie, a place where he can finally feel at rest, a place where he can finally hang his sword and place his armor at, where he can enjoy the company of his loved ones, a Place that is home... Guts.. From today onwards I hope that everything goes alright for you.. Thank you man.. For all that you have done...
