BTW if you're into this light it's currently $200 off on Amazon com amzn.to/3LbLnac This light's 650 watts of power is really impressive. I'm looking forward to continuing to experiment with it as a photography light. If there is anything you want me to try with it as a photo light let me know in the comments.

Best review by far. Too many clearly paid for reviews that don't demonstrate and show actual usage. Thanks

It's pretty cool right. It's a new KZitem feature. They're using AI to listen for the word "Subscribe" and when the Ai hears it the button lights up.

In the GVM line, I have a pair of the Pro 200B's, a pair of the Pro 400B's and the 4 foot and 2 foot RGB tube lights. Love them all and am looking to add this Pro 650B to my kit. I bought these lights after a lot of research rather than the Aputure lights because of the much more affordable cost. That said, I would still describe these lights, particularly in the "pro" line as PROFESSIONAL lights. In your video, you kind of hedged and instead COMPARED these lights to professional lights. In my view as a filmmaker, they are every bit as professional as other brands aside from the top tier brands like Arri. As you pointed out, the build quality of these things is fantastic! One thing you might have wanted to point out is that if you choose the GVM Pro 200B or 300B lights, they do NOT come with external controllers that you mount on the stand. The controls are on only the back of the unit itself. The external controller starts at the 400B. Practically speaking, that means two things: 1. The controls are on the instrument itself so to make adjustments you have to either use the app (which I love) or change any of the controls on the light itself. That may be an issue if you have the lights set high up on a stand. 2. Since the 200's and 300's do not have the control box, they do not have the ability to operate with V-Mount batteries. Also, when you operate this light with batteries, the maximum intensity drops to 50%. This is the same as when you select the "silent" fan setting (which you learned by surprise). Last thing, I did not see the link to the KZitem video you mentioned where the light quality was properly evaluated. Can you throw me that link, please? As to STANDS. Don't use this light on cheap Neewer stands. They are junk and, for all the reasons you stated, will flirt with disaster. Also, don't forget sandbags!

Oh man how did I miss that link. Thanks for pointing that out I added the link to the video description. Here is the video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xmt_sqFtr2lzm2U I appreciate the comment and the heads up on the other products. I've been using this 650B in all of my projects recently and to be honest the extra power wasn't even something I realized I needed till I started using it. It's opened up so many doors on location shoots. I'm going to make a follow up video soon talking about my experience. Appreciate the comment. Happy New Year and hopefully i'll see you around here again.

My one suggestion for the video is...for the love of all that is holy. please fall out of love with the glitch transition. By the end of the video, I wanted to scream. 😂

I can totally sympathies with that. Maybe I'm using it too much. It's a custom effect I made and I use it to make my videos different from others. But perhaps I can town it down and use it for impact instead of using it at every transition.

Hey thanks for the comment and watching the long video. There was so much to cover in the video I really could not make it shorter. Glad you are enjoying the 400b. That's the one I was looking at before GVM contacted me. They really make a great product for the price.

That mic sounds really good for its size. Cable system is cool but is it something standard or proprietary to their system? Sounds like the light is heavy just by the sounds in the video.
@vaskoobscura_

I'm not sure if the cables are property or standard to be honest. I can say it's the first time I've seen them and non of my other lights have those types of connectors. It is a heavy light for sure.

I know this light can be hooked up to a battery but I have never used a battery with this light so I don't know what to recommend. But I'm sure there is a video about best batteries on KZitem. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hello! Nice review but I heard none of the fresnel attachments available does not work with this light. Have you gotten a chance to try any fresnel lens on this light? I heard Aputure and Godox fresnel lenses (built for 600w) do not work on this light.

I don't own any fresnel attachments so I can't test it. But I did watch another review video talking about how the build of the light blocks fresnel modifiers from attaching to the light.

What are you talking about? Did you even watch the video? It's a great light for the price. My videos are always made with the intention of being 100% honest with my viewers. If you prefer channels that lie to sell products than my channel isn't for you.
