Hi, First of all, Stop with the "fight on points !!" Nothing is written in stone, yes, fight on points but it depends on many things, for example, if you are afraid that they gonna be lost and above all you have someone to fight on this point, I've seen the first time when you said it, your team went to kill the beast and they ended up 2-3 or something like that and they died while you were slacking all alone doing nothing in the mid and it happened several times (several minutes wasted all alone in the middle) The worst part is that you can't even defend it alone (the Harbinger/Virtuoso on his own almost killed you if your team mates didn't come to help you) Finally, the role of a support is (in some occasions) to defend a point AGAINST someone but mainly, his role is to be next to his team wherever they are and that's not what you did, luckily, your team had a nice roamer. Good luck for the next ;)

first off, it's a fairly slow build, so i can't just follow my team all willy nilly without us having a purpose. And if i don't see a fight (or myself) providing anough value in an encounter, i don't engage and expect my teammates to recognise a losing fight and flee. 02:47 Granted, the first time of me asking to fight on points is debatable, but going for beast is useless if doing it will cause your team to be 1) scattered just before an expected encounter 2) wiped out as it was the case. Perhaps i could've joined in the push as i was clearly about to, but seeing as home was already being decapped and my team was scattered over the map I commited on staying mid as it was our only node for now. I did not follow our guardian home because i trusted he would be able to win the 1v1 at home as he did. we would then have 2 nodes, which is enough to win the game. so me defending mid would not be a waste of time. To my surprise he first went for chieftain. Me joining had potential risks too, we would have a teamfight near svanir, probably win it and then we'd still have to go fight for far node, while the enemy respawns, making this action less valuable as we'll probably lose it right away even if we won far node, all the while leaving mid uncontested. I'd rather lose time on a node we own than support team in a fight where i'm not needed or more importantly one with a low reward outcome which happened a lot in this game. At that point I also trust my teammates to know when to flee if the fight is lost before they die. case in point is at 6:28, a 2v2 is happening off point at far and our guardian is downed, granted, our thief eventually downs the engi as well but it already turnt into a 3v1, i think it's unaccaptable that our thief died there as well. I'm not sure what you mean by me not being able to defend the point alone against the harbinger/Virtuoso, I was clearly able to (see 5:35). And "almost" killing? if i didn't die, i haven't been killed. Also, "if your team mates didn't come to help you"... isn't that the point of sPvP? I feel like you're just venting at this point. Also also, the point of this build is not to expect kills but to hold points or hold aggro long enough so that your team has time to rotate and if that fails at least delay the point capture. Which i think i did enough times. Granted, i didn't expect the necro to be so difficult to handle, i wrongly predicted his build at start yet i still held my own (long enough). And the only time you could argue the virtuoso downed me, i think, was at 8:00 in a teamfight where i actually had enough heals to save myself so that was really bad play by me. We're clearly better at teamfights than the enemy team and fighting off node works against our favor because everyone is much easier isolated as seen in 2:58 where necro is already being isolated and focused. Again, if i don't think i would provide more value, i don't go. My filosofy is this: Far node is always the lowest value of the three unless the enemy team constantly overextends in the other nodes. Pushing far is thus only viable if we're confident in winning it quickly and (almost) effortlessly, if we're bad at teamfights, if we comfortably have two other nodes and/or most importantly, if we're able to keep it after capture. Otherwise we should just keep two nodes and win all the teamfights. None of these conditions were met. at 8:35, what the hell is our revenant doing there? He first waits on the map exactly in the middle between far and mid on the map, taunting the enemy ele only to then headroll into his death. This is really what prompted me to ask again to fight on point. The beasts are really not that much worth. I personally think my team commited waaaay to much to them in this match we would've probably had a better point differential if we just let them have their beast. Especially that time we got wiped. There might be times i wasted staying at mid. But never was it a waste when we had two nodes. And only one occasion did we lose close. EDIT: Yes, a "support" role implies being near your teammates. But does that mean i should follow, even if bad decisions are being made? Also, it's not binary, i felt we needed to defend our won nodes more and that's the role i took mid match.

It’s too long to read it. Literally you’re the same sklll bracket as you’re friends on the video. Gold 1 means you know what your skills are doing and that’s literally it comparing to people from legend. I wish people would not be such an assholes and self-proclaimed “pros” like you. More chill in this game. If you’re tryharding and you’re stuck there and frustration is coming out bro.. it means you’re Also doing many things bad and you belong to gold isn’t it ?

Yeah, i should've been more calm but the weird decisions my teammates made got the better of me xD. It's not that old though, neither is gw2.
