On September 6th, 2022, I managed to see GWWD in action!
Chip, the new 44 tonner, number 100, was out and about today. They ran earlier that morning east to Deacons Corner and I managed to catch them on the return trip while they were working the CN interchange track.
The spur once was a line that connected the union stockyard to the south of me, to the GTP mainline just north of the GWWD track. It was abandoned/re-aligned years ago but the majority of the track is still in use today. CN brings GWWD small tank cars and switches a Co-op facility on the line and GWWD takes/brings tank cars to CN.
It's used a lot more now as some sidings along the GWWD are out of service for the time being so they have to store their cars on the interchange, back the train up to the St. B. Wye and run around the train to take it east.
Feel free to watch in 4K or 1080p for the best viewing experience! Or don't, it's just a train video, LOL.
