My 139qmb 50cc died on me. After taking engine apart, bearing on variator side failed BIG time. Both sides of braces holding bearings came apart, bend the timing chaing and pieces of bearing brace fall bottom of the engine. Today ordered new crankshaft with bearings, oil seals, full gasket set, timing chaing set inc guides and tensioner, valve oil seals. While waiting for the parts will wash, clean and lap the valves. Thanks for the video.

I have question how do you tune your valves? Some people says .0004 for both intake and exhaust.. some people says 0.05 intake 0.08 exhaust? Which one is right? And also is .0004 equals 0.04? is that same thing?
@kachiskid
3 жыл бұрын
Nope, 0.004 and 0.04 are NOT the same, big difference. It depends if you have a 50cc or 150cc, but 0.004 is the size of the valve adjustment tool, that you'll use to adjust the tappet. I think I set my last adjustment to .004 and .005 (exhaust).

Sorry to hear that bro. What size carb. are you running? When you sit on the seat you are free of fuel line and vacuum lines right? Are you running a pod filter or under seat air filter? That wasn't your original head right. Also you did mention when you installed BBK that you put one part in upside down and it did some damage. Did you ever get a chance to put the original head back on before valve head destroyed your piston and i imagine the cylinder too. Also the new head you put came with vavles or did you put your existing valves on the new head. Anyway good luck new bbk. I will be waiting to see that mod.
@kachiskid
5 жыл бұрын
Great job Glen, you my friend were paying attention....Ok so my original 61mm head that I put in on the big bore install video was destroyed because I put the chain tensioner guide in there upside down. A chip of it broke over and damaged that head. When I ordered a replacement (61mm) I installed it but as I was tightening the exhaust the bolt snapped. I attempted to drill it out and made it worse. On to the next 61mm but they were out of stock, so I made a mistake (in my mind) and went with the 57.4mm. Doing this knowing that I already had bought the 61mm one on Amazon from eHaze. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ORYSWCI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was originally priced at $70, but I got it for $30. Set that aside with an A9 cam, and was planning on making a video on the upgrade to see a power difference. Never got the chance to with all the weather change, tuning problems, and now this.... all heads I buy have valves pre-installed. My cylinder is in perfect condition.
@badBikerz
5 жыл бұрын
@@kachiskid Ty, that cleared up a lot for me. But still a little confused. The original head is 61mm ? the glixial you link is also 61mm and the ehaze is 61mm, where did the 57.4mm come from ? Next its the ehaze one that you set aside with the a9 cam right ? So you have a new head already the ehaze, you have the cam, your gonna reuse the bbk cylinder and just get new piston and rings ?. One comment omfg 1 cylinder, 3 heads, new piston and rings LMFAO I swear i aint laughing at, its just good to know I aint alone lol. Also, cranks and connecting rods we know are really solid and compared to what it would take to crack a valve and piston I imagine they are fine, but I guess it would be wise to give those a good looking over and it just know hit when you say you are glad you didnt go with the forged piston, because if the piston didnt give way where might that energy from the collision (valve head hitting the piston head) have gone. Also on re-reading some of the comments, it was the glixial head that was 57.4 ? And if so, how can you really trash its quality if it was the wrong size ?
@kachiskid
5 жыл бұрын
I didn't make a video about putting on the 57.4. I am going to strip the piston down of all rings and keep the cylinder, but I am getting a whole new cylinder with piston installed from NCY for $115, and install the ehaze on top. Yes, I will be separating the crank case to take a look but I had no metal shavings or any loose parts, all parts that broke are accounted for. Good question on the forged steel but who knows where that energy would have gone, most likely blew the head off. I know I would have been out of $50 more because I would have replaced that piston anyway. People run the smaller head with no problems, I just don't like it, she even felt better with the short time I had the 61mm on there. No matter the size, that valve shouldn't have broken off. I watched trashing Glixal, I just want to give another company a chance to make me happy. I couldn't pass up that deal I got on the ehaze head.

@@kachiskid Thanks, ok back to square if/when you have some time. Technically if i wanted to do bbk. All I really have to have is the new cylinder with piston and rings ? I can use existing head and all its components. New gaskets of course, is this right ?
