やはり難しいテストですね!楽しく拝見したんですけれども、私が思うにこれは正解になります。 1. Outbreak 2. Despite 3. Similar 4. Proper 5. Measures 6. Dedication 7. 重体(他に可能性もあり) 8. 倒れた 9. 励み(他に可能性もあり) 10. 撲滅された(他に可能性もあり) 11. Let your imagination run wild. 12. Did you have difficulty finding the house? 13. Our company cooperates with environmental groups to encourage recycling. 14. He did not give up on the patient. 15. Don't give in to fear. 16. No one was to be seen in the street. 17. This is the box in which I found old pictures of my parents. 18. Having not finished my work, I could not go to the party. (実は Having not/Not havingどららでも文法的に正しいと思います。よく論文とか硬い文章で使われています。) 19. She studied English very hard at the cost of much of her summer vacation. 20. Due to the blizzard, the plane was prevented from taking off. (もちろん他にも可能な文章が沢山ありますが。) 面白い動画ありがとうございます!
1. lol I don't think I would have gotten this one before you said the answer. Something about the wording made it hard to think of "outbreak". 5. Wouldn't it be "measures"? 11. "be free" definitely seems right? I can't think of anything other than "be free"/"run free". 13. You need the "s". Unless you're British - I think they treat companies like plural so it miiiiight be "cooperate with", but in American English companies are singular so it's always "cooperates with". 14. I think "give up on" is the right answer. My first thought was "abandon" but that's only 1 word. 15. Don't "give in to" fear. Maybe phrasal verbs with "give" were part of the unit you were learning at the time? 18. I think "having not" the way you wrote it is more correct than "not having". A lot of the language in the test is a little stilted or slightly weird sounding, like a native didn't write it, but not technically wrong either.

Just out of curiosity, do you think “maneuver” can fit in No.5?

@@yuhemhikotaro6409 I wouldn't say so, no. "Maneuvers" makes me think of like, a vehicle or a ship maneuvering about, or maneuvers in a game like chess. Where the prompt says "official actions" is what really points to "measures" for me. In this context you'd also often see it as "preventative measures" or "measures against _______".
