This is totally awesome. I spent forever trying to find someone who had figured this out. It's a use case that should definitely be solved with expressions versus duplicating and manual animating ... Great workflow...very impressed.

4:54 you don't have to memorize angles. It's just 360 divided by [the number of objects] You can literally just type 360/3 into After effects for three objects and it will figure out 120 for you.

Hi Jordy. Awesome tutorial. But I can't figure out how you do the linear repetition. I tried using Position as you said, and I can't it to work. Can you make a tutorial for doing it that way? Thanks very much in advance.

I have watched this video 5x and still find it challening. Will keep watching. Thank you so much!!! Question: If one isn't using a png or a 3d image, would it be best to use a repeater instead? Just trying to get an understanding of when its best to use this method...

I actually found a solution, you have to click on position, and put separate dimension, then use either the x or y position and drag it to the slider controller.

Hi. I'm using AE 2023. The expression is not working correctly for Position (it adds a "temp" condition and only moves diagonally, not left-right or up-down). What is the expression fix for this so that it moves the direction I need: left-right? UPDATE: I changed the 2nd "temp" [temp, temp] to "0" [temp, 0] and that seems to have did the trick
