Hey, Great series of videos man, thanks for going to all the effort of recording editing that so that others might benefit. A while ago I purchased an old dyson vacuum canister to do a similar project to what you have created .. but hadn't thought to electrify it until recently... which brought me to your videos. Well it definitely adds a lot to the filtration. You've convinced me it would be worth the effort,.. so thankyou again. I was thinking to myself while watching... refrigerating a mesh.. or the tubes .. or mesh shaped as downward facing funnels in the tubes would condense a lot of that vapor from the wet scrubber and turn the unit into a great air conditioner .. be harder to clean tho I guess..

Hi Jimmy, my name is Liz and it's really nice to e-connect with you. I am working in an investment bank in China, but I have always been very interested in clean technology, especially in the air pollution area (since the smog problem in China is severe). I wonder if I can get your email to discuss further about your invention and whether the technology is applicable in rural China where coal is a major fuel source for families. Thanks, Liz

Perhaps there's a way to harvest the small water droplets at the exhaust, and measure the water quality of the accumulation of those droplets. Or the moisture? I'm no scientist

Yea I am still thinking of a cheap way to measure effectiveness, it seems most industries just buy an expensive measuring device.

***** curious do you do consulting in this area? might have a project that is related to your design with a few tweaks .

can we see it being assembled? I see you have some leaks to repair. But it looks like Proof of concept thus far. This could be used to clean the air of carbon monoxide off a motor's tail pipe, or soot from a coal power plant chimney stack, or even Natural Gas fired generator. Lowering greenhouse gases. Question is how much energy is used to clean what volume of air, I'm sure this has a efficiency curve related to size and power used to operate. To big wasted energy, to small dirty air going past system.

Wont there be any ozone production as well? Or are the activated carbon pods a solution for that problem
@LockeLaboratory

Yes unfortunately with esp there is always some ozone produced. The activated carbon would absorb some. There could be one pod made from a specific absorbent for ozone which are similarly used in cpap machine cleaners. Other option which I was exploring was to use an electro spray technique which I couldn't get to work as effectively but that could have just been my inability to produce a good setup with optimal parameters.

I want to scrub sulfuric acid fumes. Do you think it would work?
@LockeLaboratory

Hi Stephen, the technology could work with the wet scrubber to absorb sulfuric acid fumes but you would need to use a special scrubbing liquid that can chemically absorb the fumes. Also you would want to modify the wetscrubber such that the the surface area of water to input air is increased. This is generally done during a packed bed wet scrubber or using a tower tray. In this case, adding many stages of the wetscrubber would give a similar effect.
