I appreciate this video . I just failed my first attempt and I feel like it was for the same reason. Sloppy and unorganized notes, no cheat sheet, and I went straight to exploitation after my scan . And started jumping to different exploits . I appreciate this video so much ! Gonna get my notes organized . Get a cheat sheet , and be comprehensive myself .

Literally happened to me. Went through course content, and when I tried putting it all together in HTB, I realized how much I don't actually know, and realized that this "hacker" mentality will take time to develop. Just have to keep going.

I've been studying the ejpt and pnpt and I realized that hacking requires you to know A ALOT of things that take time to learn. I was trying to rush the process trying to catch up with others but found out that I'm putting to much pressure on my self to do it. I'm comfortable now with the learning process to take a year just to get a cert then to rush it. Good vid man.

@@pr0tagnist thanks. the feeling of wanting to know how to do everything at the same time as quick as possible was a huge weight on my shoulder. now im walking thru it slowly so i can comfortably get those ctf flags and own machines at my own pace. we all want to be Mr robot hackers but it takes time from what ive learned. its not going to be overnight.

I'm a beginner ethical hacker like you. I'm also a phaser. I have completed both CEH and CEH Practical certification this year. Because I'm a phaser I wanted to find away to overcome it before starting my studies. I found a book called Mastery by George Leonard. It was just what I needed to push through the courses, readings and exams.

Ehi man, thanks for the videos, I can relate so much! Being patient in learning is not my greatest skill, I’m also rushing trying to learn as much as possible in the shortest time… I will attempt the ejpt at the end of this year! At the moment I’m going through THM paths and once I’m done with those I’ll buy the ejpt voucher.

Hey, would you mind sharing your notes/cheat sheet? I have been making my own, but after you said it, I realized it's got no structure to it, it's super big and unsearchable. If you could share yours, I could maybe have an idea of how to structure my own notes better 😀.
@pr0tagnist
Жыл бұрын
I will be doing that in a future video once I've made mine. I'm really close to finishing the course and when I redo the labs I'll be consolidating all the learning into one place (if I can haha).

Took me 5 months just to start the training. Having a child helps, thats part of the human process. Yesterday i was approved and i am certified ejptv2. Its normal, the anxiety comes with false expectations. You just have to adjust and respect your limitations. Trust the process . Cheers

Thanks for the reply. yes, I saw on the site its ejpt v2 now. for $300 including an exam voucher, better value than any other platform because of the labs. my only concern is I am weak at programming skills @@pr0tagnist
@pr0tagnist
Жыл бұрын
That's a fair concern. Lucky for all of us, you don't need any programming skills. You won't be programming at all. You might need to modify a script here and there but it'll be super obvious how and the course teaches you everything you need to know.
