I'm actually wondering how many people in the comments know this song is from an Anime called Fooly Cooly,I really don't think people know what FLCL means unless they are fans! Most of the comments are about the Pillows!

I really wish these guys made it worldwide. Even if you don't understand their lyrics their melodies and instrumentation are fantastic and have a real universal appeal. They're like a Japanese Nirvana, and everyone loves Nirvana.

They're a lot more indie alternative than Nirvana. Nirvana is a lot more grunge rock.

Probably my favourite song from The Pillows. Maybe part of that's also because I associate it to my favourite scene from the F.L.C.L. anime (that has this song as background). Pure art combination to it's fullest extent.

Man, I wish that I can describe what this song does to me in a way that's as beautiful as this song. It weighs my heart down with melancholy, forcing all the bad memories and sadness I hid away right up front. It invites me to cry until my ducts are dry, then to laugh until I can't breathe because fighting and trying was futile to begin with. It makes me wish for those simple days, when I was sure of the world, of who I am, when youth was forever and I had answers to the questions. And as all that weigh inside me, this song also lifts me, in an odd, psychedelic way. And as I go higher and higher, I feel that I can really feel the hybrid rainbow, though I know it's a visual trick, a false hope that I won't feel in between my fingers like I want. Oooooh, here come the waterworks...

Never did I know the translation of the lyrics or what the song was about, but always shed a tear. His singing is so passionate and sad as if he's searching for some happiness and hope in tragedy. After looking up the translated lyrics I realized I wasn't far off from what I think the meaning of the song is. And now I have more tears to shed while I rock out.
I haven’t listened to this song since my first deployment to Afghanistan(a sneaky snake grunt) and now as a new dad in the new decade all the “problems” I thought I had when I first heard it are so insignificant.
The FLCL animation linked to this song made it complete Magic. This is a song to fall in love with a pretty girl in a grass field. Thank you The Pillows.
I'll never forget the scene or Mama Mimiis watching "lord"cante take flight of the old burnt building and all the crows fly away and she's in awe of the god she just saw ohhhhh!😮
