Scraping your hair is just damaging your hair and scraping proteins and all the good stuff.. I was 3 years silicone free and still could scrape that thing. And yeah guys, silicone is actually good thing in your haircare since it's purpose is to hold the hydratation locked. Of course you can prefer anything you find safe, but just dont feel fear of using something, because green washing influencer told you not to...

@nataliejenner3318

I agree with the not coating your whole head with conditioner. When you comb your hair through from the bottom up, you'll end up with a small amount of conditioner at the root but it gets rinsed away. I have very curly hair which needs to be combed through with conditioner but combing it well ensures it doesn't make my roots greasy. Thanks for these tips

I don't know if I've told you this before, but THANK YOU for everything you do on KZitem, you've saved me from a life of bad hair days, and now I have even been able to bleach my hair without compromising it's health and integrity. I agree with Audrey,when she said what work for one person doesn't always work another person's hair. I have 2c/3a hair and my sister has 3b hair, my grandma has 2a hair and my mom has 2a as well, they all use sulphate free shampoo and conditioner but when i use that shampoo and conditioner my hair goes dry and gets really mattered. I use this Apple shampoo and conditioner and it really work for me while it leaves my sisters hair oily and dry at the same time.

Silicones seal the hair’s surface and help prevent the hair from absorbing water from the atmosphere and causing FRIZZ or LIMP Hair. They make THICK, CURLY, DULL OR DRY hair smooth, silky, shiny and prevent excessive color loss from color-treated hair. I don’t like silicones because I get scalp eruptions (pimples) from using them. But they can be very helpful for most hair types. BTW: Most modern silicones are Water Soluble or Semi Water Soluble and don’t readily cause Build-Up, but using multiple products containing silicones or multiple types of silicones especially with Heat may cause problems with some hair types.

With oiling your hair, I love using a humentant base first, so it washes out easier and works better - just mix a little bit of sugar/honey with water and spray your hair with the mixture, then apply the oil, brush your hair to distribute it evenly, and keep it in a cap for 30min. Works so much better than just slapping some oil and leaving it

Worst culprit is...in the car: the headrests are abrasive. I commute 3h a day and started noticing serious friction damage at the back of the head. Couldn't figure it out until I ran my hand on the headrest. Now it's covered with a silk-satin scarf and no more problem!

Another reason you don't want to sleep with wet hair is it can give you dandruff! Malassezia yeast, which causes dandruff and scalp folliculitis (almost like scalp acne) grows very easily in warm, wet conditions like wet hair. Please don't make this mistake like I did, it was a nightmare to deal with 😭 But if you do happen to get dandruff, do an apple cider vinegar rinse and it'll kill the yeast

@thesoutherncowgirlpoet
2 жыл бұрын
@@giannac0 Ugh me too! Olive oil is great. (The rest is for the op) Coconut oil sucks, avocado oil is wonderful, castor oil is hard to get out but makes my hair grow SO fast. Best hair mask I've found is 1 egg, 1/8 cup of your proffered oil (I use mostly olive oil mixed with castor oil), three drops of lavender essential oil, and two drops of peppermint essential oil. The egg is for protein, the regular oils are for moisturizing, and the essential oils are for scalp health. (Also who wants to smell a raw egg for 30 minutes? 🤢) Make sure all oils are high quality. Leave it in for 30-90 minutes, depending on what your hair needs. And do not overdo this mask, MAYBE do it two to three times a month. After I wash my hair, I rinse with either chamomile tea or rice water, depends if my hair needs extra moisture or protein. My hair THRIVES on protein but it's very easy to get protein overload, so be very careful. My hair is 2A-2B wavy, low porosity, low density hair, meaning the strands are very thin and don't absorb moisture well, so a very penetrative mask like this works great on me, however if your hair is completely different than mine, this mask might be your worst nightmare. I also love Aloe, so if you have access to that, slap summa that slime on and leave it for a night. Works wonders for my hair.
