It came out beautiful! I also prefer hand stitching, I find it very calming.

Super work! I too like to use hand-stitching on my projects, I do not like sewing machine sewing since it is not a durable stitch. Thank you for sharing your work. Stay safe and God bless.

Thank you. Lovely video and I really like the 'hair on' lining. I've made a couple myself with a velvet lining but I think I'll try this next time.

Beautiful case. I've been thinking about making one for my MacBook but I'm glad I saw your video before starting. Just one question - why did you make the cover flap a separate piece instead of just having the back panel large enough to just fold over the top? Thanks.

Looks amazing. The stitching really adds to the beauty of it. Hand stitching is my favourite part of any leather work. Not sure why though.

Really nice looking laptop case. I really like that particular leather. The color is so right! I thought you would use a saddle stitch. It came out really nice with the stitching you chose.

Very nice leather sleeve! It is gorgeous. I really dig the soft inner liner. Have you ever tried to make one from a wooden buck the same dimensions as a laptop?

What was the paint you used for the edge coat? I have that same roller, but I have Weaver's edge coat stuff. I really don't like the edge coat that I bought because it gums up too quickly and doesn't apply easily, even with that roller. Are you just using angelus? Thanks

Did you wet mold both the top and bottom pieces or just the top?

Hi Barry, both pieces were wet molded but you could just do the front if preferred.

Hi Matthew, here is the link to the hair on hide. The patterns will vary quite a bit from hide to hide, but the brown and white is the one used in this video: www.weaverleathersupply.com/catalog/item-detail/09-1034w-h2/hair-on-hide-brown-white-/pr_57906

And yet she didn't round off the corners of her stitch line when she used the chisel. So much for not doing Edward Scissorhands.

The music is annoying. It's too loud when you're talking and even louder while you're not. I quit watching after a few minutes because I really don't care for your taste in music. It's s shame because I was interested in watching your project.
