For some people, spritzing their hair with water or tea nightly or every other night causes dryness. The water evaporates even with oil on top. This is different from washing your hair (drenching it). I tried spritzing every other night and my hair was hard as a rock.

Ohh. Moisturising works differently for different hair types. You can try a leave in conditioner instead. Also, keep the porosity of your hair in mind too.

Pure water doesn't work for me. It needs to be a water based moisturiser to help to bind it to my hair. Some people use aloe juice, leave ins or moisturisers

I also learnt that although two people may have similar hair type our hair regiment is not necessarily the same what works for you may not work for me. we see these hair influencers say do this and your hair will grow fast there is no magic pill that is going to make your hair grow yes I do believe genetics does play a part but you have to put in the time , consistency also patience and maintaining a hair regiment that works for you.Great content!❤

I finally found your channel again. I wanted to comment on the mini twist issue but it was difficult finding your video again. I can actually relate to tangles after making mini twists. Last year i made mostly mini braids which helped me to retain crazy length. But mini braids wasn't working this year like it did last year because i had alot of things to do and neglected it cos i thought i cant experience breakage or tangles with it. Eitherways my point is, i gave mini twists a try again but this time i twist in the opposite direction. Normally twisting to the right makes me have lots of tangles and the takedown is horrible even with slip. But twisting to the left direction i didnt experience tangles at all. So try making ur twist in the opposite direction from what u are used to if that would work. It might not be easy but frequently twisting to the left made me get a hold of it. And Washing in twists, make sure whatever treatment u are using is more of moisture not protein as i notice protein strengthens the hair and makes twists a bit difficult to take out. I hope this helps ❤

Wow. Thanks a lot for this. I didn’t know this was a thing. Would definitely try twisting leftward this time. Aww! You’re going to make me try mini twists one last time just to experiment this!😄❤️

Thank you for doing this video. I agree about the mini-twist. I have seen people with the mini-twist on You Tube, and a whole twist came out. Not sure why a whole twist would fall out. But it discourage me from trying it. Also the long braid extension, I never tried them but I alway suspected they would caus tension on the hair causing it to break more easily. And I have seen too many long braid extesnions that not only look uncomfortable, but peoples hair lines are all messed up with traction Alopecia.

It seems I have the same hair type like you. I can't do twist it will last 2-3 days and gets very flimsy after a while.. I'd I do twist I do afro kinky for it to last longer. Finally I find someone who will understand.

Simple washing as needed which is ALWAYS before it gets dry is very important. For me a reset works better than spritzing with water. Conditioner grease and then clarifying shampoo and repeat. Once every 4 to 7 days... depending on what my hair is saying. My haor spoke to me yesterday that I need to wash today...I juat said...ok.🤷🏿♀️

You need a trim sis. Your hair is breaking continuously bcus you are not getting rid of the small amounts of damage.
@omuwaodior

My hair is currently healthy. I don’t support the idea of trimming your hair all the time. You can get rid of knots whenever you spot them but trimming your whole hair is a different matter entirely.
@aquafina6544

@@omuwaodior I don't think trimming all the time is necessary either. However, I realized in my own journey that my hair appeared to stop growing and once I realized what the culprit was I started getting a good trim once a year. I'm currently at tailbone. It was just a suggestion I didn't mean to offend you.

How about conditioner and oil for hair
@omuwaodior

It depends on the conditioner. As for oils, I’m leaning towards Ayurvedic oils. I mentioned some in the video.
