Never did like the explanations you showed around 3:15 which were the same ones I was typically given. Your showcase here makes perfect sense to me. Thanks for sharing!

Unfortunately yes, incongruous explanations are rife. Glad this was of some value.

Thank you Shawn. I really like those applications, especially the first one you showed for Heian Nidan. Cheers from Canada!

Glad I could help. I hope this increases the 'spice' in your kata. I also found some more detail on this I uploaded 5 years ago; kzitem.info/news/bejne/0Zl72J-unYqil4I

The two hands must be engaged or else it is not and effective move.

G-Funakuchi won't be using a cross block against a kick, cause it just not a good technique. But the cross block shown here is an excellent example of how a Cross block was intended to be use. The cross down block is a misleading title. It is really a joint and break lock for the attacking arm from the opponent. 🥋🥋🥋

How do I subscribe to your website?

The best bet is to subscribe to this channel and click the bell to get alerts. My website is more a landing place to purchase the premium videos (videos that go through a whole kata and more detailed explanation), purchasing these are a great way to support. However if there's any updates, I usually announce them here on youtube, so subscribing here is fine.
