Wonderful histoy of both nations here. The Haka was first performed on a RU field when the NZ team (the Natives) toured UK in around 1890. In Wales the local spectators replied with their National Anthem which is believed to be the first time a NA was performed before a sporting event. A War Dance was performed by the Kangaroos in 1908 after the mighty Newtown Bluebags performed it at home game. It was ceased in the 1960's

I have great respect for the indigenous cultures of Australia and New Zealand. We would’ve lost our home if it wasn’t for the fierce-some warriors from these places. Even though the nation I live in subjugated them. They’re brave fighting men gave their lives for an Empire that didn’t love them back. We owe our freedom and democracy to such individuals. From the four Corners of the Globe. When we honour the dead remembrance day. I think of you all aswell. The way of the warrior is to fight for what’s yours and who you love. God Bless you all A friend from Britain 🫡🫡🫡

State of Origin - Original States. This is IMO better than SoA. All of the comments here seems to align with the general theme. The amount of good, genuine respect for culture has, in society. Amazing to see these leaders teach the next generation, controlled power. I think that both the dance (sorry from not knowing its name) and haka was recognised for what it was. Here is our best! We're showing you our most! We're summoning support to be at our utmost. Please do the same. For the First Nations People to know, show and recognise that, was the best. Great respect for the NRL living the path to cultural inclusively. I'd love to see all NRL teams send an observer to these. That way they can bring this back to the regions they represent.
