@@MyRealName Body language varies greatly between human/linguistic populations. Japanese has a very marked body language, arguably more so than many other cultures. For example, Japanese people bow a lot when talking, even if it's very subtle, because the notions of politeness and hierarchy are extremely important in Japanese society. If a German person did the same thing when talking it would come across as very strange. Another example is that Japanese people frequently open their eyes very widely in an exaggerated expression of wonder, even if you just tell them something you consider unimportant. If a Western person were to do this it would probably come across as mocking or just plain weird. There are so many examples. It's a fascinating subject. Cheers!

I've heard that specially from older people (by older I mean very old people), because the cultural shock was really strong for them But with Brazilian-Japanese millennials and zoomers, this isn't actually a thing. Viewtiful Ace is right, in Brazil the Japanese-Brazilian are mostly the 3rd-4th generation and they are fully integrated in the culture Obviously some people will say this, but imagine being the "great grand daughter of a Japanese and saying you don't feel like you fit in completely because you're Japanese", I respect everyone's opinions but it could be just that they're exaggerating. Those people are fully Brazilian, that's undeniable On the other hand I see this happening Chinese. Those Chinese people from commerce that can't speak more then 5 words in Portuguese and they have Brazilian born kids. Those kids live in China when they're inside their houses and in Brazil when they're on the streets... but this might be a thing with everyone that is son of immigrants (and still the kids develop and integrate really well, they dominate the language really quickly and start translating the world to their parents) This beautiful French-Japanese may stand out in France, but in Brazil she would just look like another one, we are somewhat used to see girls like her and she wouldn't feel exactly different... she would stand out for her beauty but not speacially for being Asian

There is a very cool concept about the "LIMINAL"...
@guillegermo9406
Жыл бұрын
The concept of "the liminal" refers to an intermediate or transition state or space between two clearly defined phases or states. In this state, things may seem ambiguous, uncertain, or confusing. The term "the liminal" comes from the anthropologist Victor Turner, who used it to describe the rituals and ceremonies of African tribal societies. In these rituals, the participants undergo a transformation process and are forced to abandon their old identity to adopt a new one. During this process, they are in a liminal state, which is a gap between their old and new selves. This concept has also been used in other contexts, such as in literature, psychology, and philosophy. For example, some authors have used it to describe the intermediate space between life and death, while others have applied it to transitional experiences in everyday life, such as adolescence or divorce. In general, the liminal refers to a transitional space or state, in which things can be ambiguous or uncertain. It is often associated with processes of change or transformation, and is believed to be a time when people can experience personal growth or a greater understanding of themselves and the world around them.

I would visit and not be able to communicate with my grandparents, or my cousins. Which I regret. Every time we did cultural Japanese stuff, I would embarrass myself and my family, which included me puking up some gross moldy fish once in some ‘important’ man’s house. Whereas when I would visit Ireland (I was born and raised in Liverpool) it was like I was home, I love my grandparents, I love my cousins, I identify so much with Ireland, the people, the culture, it’s perfect. But. I’m not white enough to be white, and I’m not Asian enough to be Asian. What is even more interesting is my twin is a lot more Asian looking than I am, we were both a lot more Asian looking as children, but he has always looked more Asian and taken after mum, and I’ve always been more pale and freckly and take after dad. We are both treated the same on the whole, but also so differently in isolation depending on where we are. Despite us sharing a womb and the same parents. Crazy world.

It is more of a conflict of belonging than beauty for most of this type of people. Also what do people actually mean by 'he or she got the best genes of both' ? I hear this often towards mixed race people. Is it just an empty words of persuation or they have some meaning? because to be honest, I find most of them are just average looking at best. @@Erick-ev5ztyes. It is through genetics people from Spain have darker pigments, darker hair and brown eyes are very prominent in Spain as opposed to French people. You can CITE examples either way though and this is not a hard and fast rule. My full brother was pale with lighter hair while I was olive with dark brown hair but I didnt look like the stereotypical Spainard. The border is shared like you said and there were a lot of french people mixed with Spanish blood who would not admit to being part Spainard. But yes people could tell and I was reminded of such far too often. I would imagine the young gal here can be identified by her eyes of her Japanese ancestry possibly??? You could ask the same of her how does one know what your nationality is? You wouldn't know by looking at her necessarily. People ask you when you dont look exactly like others and then they go from there. I would just tell her anyone who gives you any flack have nothing to do with them. As for me they would hear my mother speak and she looked 100 percent Spainard so some would find ways to insult her in any way possible.
